I have complained to manager of Bargain Barn back in May about the rude AND AGGRESSIVENESS of a certain group of people who will push you out of the way, grab items from your hand, particularly shoes. They are rude and aggressive YET NOTHING is done about it. Yesterday, Wednesday Aug. 28 AGAIN this same group (they speak a different language) was aggressive again with me and another lady. This other lady was furious as she said this group pushed her out of the way and even grabbed items from her hand. She was so upset and knocked on managers door but no one answered. She felt she was assaulted. I told her same thing has repeatedly happened to me by this group of about five or six people who DOMINATE these bins and grab all the shoes and AGGRESSIVELY grab clothes etc. I told the cashier yesterday (white younger lady with dark hair) that itās sad the manager STILL allows this group of people who seem to be there every day to act this way. I asked her to relay to this manager that we almost had a violent confrontation and explained fully to cashier what happened and that this has happened to me several times too
One day itās going to really get out of hand and Iām afraid violence will take place. All of this is because this group of people are not reprimanded and or banned from this store. I guess the love of money as they buy up cart full of shoes etc every day is more important and other customers safety AND being allowed to shop without aggressively being pushed around and having items ripped out...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFair warning, elbows get thrown here. Bargain Barn is where thrift shoppers come to do battle. Literally. If you go here there are some things you should know. There is a group of people who are here every single day. They will literally trample over you to get a pair of worn sneakers. The staff will wheel out new containers of merchandise and people will stand on the sidelines in packs. When staff gives the OK it's an absolute free for all. These people will fill cart after cart with junk and they even come to blows over someone else's discarded junk. If you go a few times you will eventually see who they are. They walk around like they own the place. It used to be fun, but Goodwill has changed so much that now its really just a hassle. You used to be able to find a few good deals, but now youre more likely to get in a street fight than find anything worth having. Goodwill has significantly raised their prices. You can buy the stuff brand new for what they charge. I have found some really great things, but its not even worth it anymore. Getting shoved and pushed and climbed over. Its just a hot mess. Avoid this place at all costs during cold and flu season. Want to see the worst of human nature? Visit the Bargain Barn when they have new stuff. If you dont already have social anxiety, you will after...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI used to come here almost every day. Not anymore. Between the shoving, screaming, stealing, and full-on contagious illnesses being sneezed directly into clothing bins ā itās like a live-action episode of āFear Factor.ā Sick people literally wipe snot on clothes and toss them back like itās a community tissue box. Cute!
Try to tell staff? They donāt care. Actually, they might accuse you of being racist for speaking up ā because apparently, wanting basic hygiene and not having your cart robbed is controversial now. š
But donāt you dare sit on their precious furniture. No really, donāt. Youāll get yelled at like you set off the fire alarm. I brought my own chair once to avoid issues ā still got screamed at by some angry linebacker of a man. Thatās what they care about: furniture. Not your safety, not your things, just keeping the crusty loveseat unsat-on.
Someoneās gonna get seriously hurt or seriously sick here, and honestly? Itāll be well deserved ā by the management. Iām done. This place is a disgusting liability. Shop literally...
