Ding Tea — Restaurant in North Port

Tried out four drinks from Ding Tea, here’s the breakdown from left to right in the photo:

Passion Fruit Juice with Lychee Popping Boba The most refreshing of the bunch. Tangy and sweet without tasting artificial. The lychee popping boba added a fun texture, but it lacked the juicy flavor you’d get from spots like Gong Cha or Tiger Sugar. Still a pleasant option if you want something light and tropical. Lychee Green Tea with Lychee Popping Boba The green tea base was too strong and bitter, overpowering the lychee. The popping boba again lacked flavor. Not terrible, but not great if you’re chasing that true lychee profile. Lychee Green Tea with Boba Same issue with the overpowering green tea, but the regular boba helped balance it out. Ding Tea’s tapioca pearls are chewy, subtly sweet, and some of the best I’ve had. Only Pearls Tea comes close in texture and quality. Thai Milk Tea with Boba Rich, smooth, and just sweet enough. Not the best Thai tea I’ve tried, but definitely solid. Paired with their standout boba, it was the most well-rounded drink of the group.

Overall: Ding Tea absolutely delivers on tapioca quality. Their boba is top-tier. The fruit-based drinks and popping boba, though, could use more flavor. Skip the lychee green tea if you want a strong lychee taste. The shop interior could use more attention, with visible stains on the counters and AC issues that...

I order from this place once a week, on my half days at work as a little treat to myself to celebrate getting through the rough week I’ve had. The first couple times I ordered, it was absolutely perfect. I love these corndogs and always look forward to them. However, the last couple times I have ordered these, they have been disgusting. The quality is back and fourth sometimes, so I stopped purchasing them for a couple weeks. I decided to give it a try today, and this is what I received.. they are not fully cooked and the batter they used is runny, smells funny, and looks funnier. It feels like clay. Drinks were amazing until I came in one time and my drink was honesty made really disgusting. So I asked for my drink to be re-made and the workers there acted so weirded out and it was like I was an inconvenience to them. I even waited until there were no other customers in the place to be polite. They told me I can only get it re-made for half off, so I would still have to pay for it.
