I'm not disliking this place because of the products they offer. However the people doing the pricing seem to be just using Google to price their products. This means the asking price for an item is pretty close if not more than retail. They do not discern pricing between items that may have a defect or even if a product is real. I honestly hate myself for shopping here. You think of the name 'Goodwill' and you see all these pictures of disabled people and then you sit down to look at their books. A very low percentage of this business gross income actually goes to help those in need. Their profit goes to their CEO. They take advantage of cheap labor by employing disabled people at a discount. They do not pay their workers right and it really upsets me. Let's talk about the Bargain Barn next door. It's the craziest mess I've ever seen. This place is full of bins just full of stuff. There's this one particular group of people that come in the morning and they claim most of the shopping carts. They'll take the carts and push them in a corner and stack all their finds in a pile. This same group is pushy and rude. I've seen them grab things right out of another person's hands. I actually was there once and I had a shopping cart with my stuff in it and a woman actually came and went through my cart. She took what she wanted and threw the rest to the side. She even stole the shopping cart. You can find some pretty nice stuff, but be ready to work for it. If they want to help people and make money they need to price their merchandise better. It's Goodwill for God's sake, not some upscale...
Read moreHonestly I have shopped and donated here many times and have had wonderful experiences with the store and employees. Recently, when donating items I have been told they would not accept them. The woman was the same woman, multiple times and rejected very nice donations because she did not understand the content or style I think. Camping equipment in excellent condition and just recently a dining table with seating for 6 in excellent condition that was rejected because of the finish which was a white wash finish over oak wood. Table was solid wood and retails for over 500 dollars and my neighbor asked me to donate because he was moving into a smaller residence, i own a truck and couldbtransport it for him.. I don't think she understood the whitewash and said it looked like it had been wet. Which of course it wasn't. When I went inside the store to speak to a manager it was the same woman and she was extremely and I mean extremely rude! The table was solid wood and in extremely good condition along with 6 matching chairs in the same whitewashed finish. This employee is not good for business! She is rude, bullying and ignorant. Please put someone in that position who can discriminate between good donations and bad ones and also who can interact with customers in a positive way. There are many people there who fit this description. But she is not one of them. Aug 22 at 6:30 pm. Date and time of...
Read morewas in shopping with a friend (close to closing, that part’s on us) and the employees were VERY rude. the dressing room attendant kept glaring at me and rolling their eyes at me while i waited for my friend, then that employee started talking to other employees, loudly across many aisles saying “the dressing rooms are closed so i dont know WHY anyones IN THERE” — the dressing rooms were not closed when we went in. and we weren’t the only ones using them. at this point the store was open another 15-20 minutes, and already this employee is being incredibly disrespectful.
after she tried her items on my friend was taking an extra minute to put the things she tried on back on hangers and in the return rack. as we’re on our way to the register, someone makes a page that it was 8pm and the store is now closed - it was 7:56pm. we checked out and were out the door before 8pm, which was always our plan. i have worked in retail, i understand its frustrating to have someone shopping in your store that close to closing time, but we were respectful and courteous, we cleaned up after ourselves, AND we were out before the store closed. the employees were needlessly rude. if we had been in the store after 8pm, i would understand the reaction, but we did not elongate their shifts by one...
