Definitely won't be getting boba from here or the Stamford location.

After observing multiple staff quit and the owner's response to negative reviews, it is safe to assume the owners are rude and disrespectful people. If they respond to customers this way, I can't imagine how they would treat their staff. Had nothing but stellar service and I've been coming here since last year. Friendly staff and the vibe was great and I can definitely see the decline. Probably greed and constant changes in management caused this? Definitely not recommending this place to anyone and I'm not coming back.

In response to the owner...I did see your responses, it seems like you'll blame your staff for any bad reviews regarding them and threaten "disciplinary actions" or "termination" but whenever there's a complaint about the owners or your product, you get defensive or blame it on "a petty former employee." You and your friends posting multiple fake 5 star reviews at multiple locations proves you have something to hide. Thank you for your time and definitely won't be recommending this...

Honest Review

My daughter and I tried Black Pearl today at SONO Collection. We were so excited to try it. The clerk was very friendly, patient, and informative. My daughter got the Oreo; I got the milk cheese cake from the non dairy menu. The clerk did explain that there was milk in the cheese cake portion of the drink, but not the actual tea. I said that was fine. I usually avoid dairy, but I can tolerate it in small amounts.

The drinks were absolutely beautiful. Presentation alone is 5 stars. The drinks tasted absolutely amazing! Both my daughter and I were very pleased…..at first. Before even finishing our drinks and 15min in, we both began to feel queezy and down right sick to our stomach. I mean really sick to our stomach. I can’t even say that it was the dairy because my usual reaction to consuming too much dairy is never this violent. It felt like we had gotten a hold of something very nasty and unclean.

Be warned, do not come here! After ordering my bubble tea, the young woman who worked at the counter laughed at my face and said that I had a stupid order. She even charged me extra and when I tried to argue she told me that I’m lucky she didn’t charge me more and she was doing it because she “hates having to deal with losers like you”. And that wasn’t the end of it. When she was making my drink I noticed that she was putting sriracha sauce in instead of the strawberry flavoring. When I asked her about it, instead of answering my question, she threw the drink in my face and I went blind while trying to get the sriracha out of my eyes. She then jumped out from behind the counter, pushed me over, stole my car keys, and drove away. When I tried calling the police and when they answered it was the same girl who picked up the phone and she laughed and told me that maybe if I had done better on my circular motion test in physics this wouldn’t have happened.
