I have been a customer of Boyd's for several years and have had excellent service from them every time. They are professional, courteous, and go beyond what is expected. They are honest and let you know what they find and the price of repair before performing any service. They do not price gouge nor push items not needed. I would recommend Boyd's Tire Hilliard to anyone needing service by a reputable and honest business. They are a true asset to the City of Hilliard.
May 2022: Approximately two weeks ago my SUV started driving rough. My Granddaughter was using my SUV to get back and forth to work; so, I called Steve at Boyd's and asked if they could check the SUV. Steve, gracious as always, said to bring it in and they would get it by the next day. About 30 minutes later Steve called me back and said they had an opening and were going to check it within the hour. He called and told me my back brakes and pads needed replaced and gave me the estimate. I approved and they had my SUV back to me in less than 3 hours. They are the perfect example of honest, professional, and kind service people. They have never tried to sell me anything I did not need and their pricing is always fair. I would recommend this Boyd's to anyone needing excellent service. The city of Hilliard is extremely fortunate to have such an exemplary business. I highly recommend Boyd's.
January 10, 2023 Once again Boyd’s came to the rescue! They fixed my tire, checked fuses, and did some minor needed repairs. They are so professional, friendly, and honest. Their prices and service are unbelievable. I would highly recommend Boyd’s to everyone!
January 2024 I highly recommend Boyd’s Hilliard Tire. They provide excellent service, fair pricing, and outstanding customer service. My granddaughters car had two severely damaged tires, Boyd’s replaced the tires, did a complete checkup of all fluids, oil change, and had her car back to her the same day. If you need service on your vehicle , Boyd’s is definitely the...
Read moreWasn't going to review, but they pestered over text, so here we are. Was referred to Boyds by my regular mechanic who didn't have a way to get my car up on an alignment rack to find out where some noise was coming from. Took it to Boyds and they were fast in calling me back and saying there was some noise and play in the struts (recently replaced brand new less than 20k ago) and the sway bar links were going bad. They also said I needed a CV axel replaced. Gave me a quote. When I asked for them to quote without the strut work, they gave me another more reasonable number and I told them to proceed. Later that day (again fast which is a plus) when I went to pick up the car, they told me they didn't do the sway bar link because if I was going to do the struts I'd have to do the sway bar anyway, and gave me my total which was the same price they had quoted initially. I asked why it wasn't any cheaper if they didn't do the sway bar, and wish they would have called me if they weren't going to do something. It took an unnecessary amount of back and forth but they knocked off a little amount and I paid for the CV axel replacement. Took it back to my first mechanic to see his thoughts on the strut mount. He said it for sure wasn't that and guessed they didn't get it up on the alignment rack like I had asked. He said he'd take another look and was able to borrow another shops alignment and when he looked saw that it was a simple tighten job on the rack and pinion support bolts and the noise was gone. He didn't even charge me. Not sure the noise would have even gone away if I had paid Boyds over 1k to do work that wasn't even needed.
Had high hopes for a quality referral, but unfortunately one bad experience isn't going to garner repeat service.
Also, even though they replied below to my review. I contacted them as they requested and haven't heard back...
Read moreThis retail-location is, basically, part-and-parcel included with the Goodyear Tire Center immediately adjacent, within fact, some facilities appear to be shared between the two. Regardless their business-relationship, myself visited Boyd's (not Goodyear) to have a slowly-leaking tire examined and, hopefully, patched. All four tires had, approximately, 52K miles, yet, still a decent amount regarding tread, well-above the legal-limit, as myself always rotated themselves regularly. Boyd's discovered a nail within the slowly-leaking tire, however, issued myself dire-warning regarding all four tires "cracking" from "dry-rot." Myself has always assumed tires are dry along with the roads, and correspondingly-wet, as well. Within any case, my initial-error was within advising the salesperson myself was due back at work, which placed myself at a disadvantage. They pitched a "Buy Three, Get One 'Free' " sale taking place upon some lesser-known Korean-imports, heavily-recommending myself replace all four tires immediately. The tires seemed adequate, and, long-story-short, myself departed with four new tires and a $1,000 charge upon my Visa, which does not seem much regarding a "sale," at $250 per tire, once tax and all their extras are included. Not taking the opportunity to shop for a better-deal was my subsequent-mistake, having succumbed to the dire-warnings regarding impending tire-failure, and needing some solution to my...
