Colorado Mountain Sports — Attraction in Norwich Township

Have used Colorado Mountain Sports twice past two seasons, and both times were highly negative - as in easily worst experiences from any shop in a decade of skiing with my kids all over the US.

First was to get a new pair of boots for a junior last season. Length was correct, but volume way too high. Which meant my 12 yo had a bunch of blisters all over his feet after 2 days of an 8 day trip to Colorado.

Second was this year getting rentals for my 11yo daughter. She had three short midwest sessions (~2 hours each time), then on our first day over spring break in Colorado the binding detached from the ski mid-mountain - as she was skiing through trees - because the screws backed out. This resulted in her foot coming out of the binding mid-turn. We were able to get them back in enough to get her down the mountain. But ski techs wouldn't touch and recommended not to ski on anymore. So those sat in the locker all week while we used a local rental.

I discussed these issues on two separate occasions - the boots at the beginning of this season and the skis turning them in at the end. Both times Colorado Mountain Sports basically shrugged and said these things happen. These experiences are NOT normal! And the attitude that it is, along with going 2 for 2 on worst experiences ever with ski equipment, indicates the shop is both incompetent and indifferent to that incompetence.

Strongly recommend staying far away...

😀 Absolutely Outstanding Ski Rental Experience😀 I had an incredible experience at Colorado Mountain Sports from start to finish! The staff was exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about skiing, which made the whole process smooth and enjoyable. They took the time to carefully fit all my kids with the right equipment, ensuring comfort, safety, and performance on the slopes.

The gear was in top-notch condition—well-maintained, modern (which was really important for my daughter;) , and clearly high quality. I especially appreciated how efficient and organized everything was, from the check-in process to returning the equipment (it is our 4th time renting ski from them). It made our ski trip so much easier and stress-free!

Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned skier, this shop has everything you need and more (they also have some summer gear too! I also bought an Ah-mazing bike from them!). They recently made a remodeling of the entire store. There are now 2 stores and sooo many great gears for winter and summer! I bought my ski and my oldest son ski from them 3 years ago! Can’t be happier about it! I can’t recommend them enough and will absolutely be coming back next season. Huge thanks to the entire team for making my Family ski adventure...

The staff at Colorado Mountain Sports are attentive and knowledgeable. I recently took my two teenagers there for new boots, bindings and skis. Rather than selling me gear that I did not yet need, the staff helped me extend the use of my children’s existing boots. CMS may have lost out on a sale that day, but they’ve made us loyal customers for life! I have been shopping at this location for several years now (the store has a new name, but same great people) and I am always impressed by the honesty and integrity of the sales staff. As for my recent purchase, the skis and bindings were all reasonably priced and highly rated. And bonus - I know I can return to Colorado Mountain Sports throughout the season and they will make the necessary adjustments and refinements to my children’s gear to maximize performance and keep my children safe. The shop also has a nice selection of clothing and outerwear. I highly recommend...
