I made a 4:30 appt for a pedi and walked in to find two people getting pedis and two sitting with their feet soaking waiting to start. Right away I knew something was up. They guy asked ns to take a seat and wait, about 3 minutes later another lady walks out and asks if she can help me and I tell her I have a 430 appt for a pedicure & she asks if I can wait. I ask how long and reiterate that I have an appointment. She says 5-10 minutes & I asked is it actually going to be that because I have somewhere to go. She then says it'll actually be 20-30 minutes because the other people just walked in (the people soaking their feet and they have to do them first. I say well I have an appt and she says well your 10 minutes late (their clock says 4:40) & I reminded her I got there 5 minutes ago so maybe I'm 5 minutes late. She says so then you have to wait 20-30 minutes. Note-- she has not said sorry, been nice- she has solely been rude & insistent that it is all my fault & it's totally ok to make someone with an appt wait till 30 minutes after their scheduled time. I say that's ridiculous & what's the point of an appt & storm out. Not that she seemed to care. I should've known when they didn't ask my name when I scheduled the appt. when I got to my car I took out my iPhone to call another nail place & guess what-- it was 4:34!! I had been on time!! Their strategy is clearly just put anyone who walks into an empty chair if they have one. If they don't they are rude & could really careless about you. While I was waiting initially before the woman came out they ignored a girl who walked in behind me for a good two minutes. I had been here one other time and they were very rude to a woman who came in & said she had an appt With a nail tech who wasn't in. They said there was no way & another worker walked out & yelled at her that there was no way she called earlier that day for that tech cause she's the only one who answers the phone. They clearly have no manners & no idea what customer service is....
Read moreThey claimed they knew how to do powder dip but when she started on my right hand she was using gel base coat and asking me to put my hands under the UV light. In 5 years and the multiple salons and states I’ve got powder dip this is never how it’s done. I told her not to use any gel products but she told me it was too late that my right hand will have the gel base. She proceeded to tell me it’s so much better for me and I should’ve let her do it her way. When she took out the powder dip base coat she started coughing and complaining she hates the “smell” which I’ve never heard of or saw before. She coughed the entire time probably on purpose. Long story short the next day 2 nails on my right hand chipped off immediately. After a week and a half my right hand with the gel were all breaking and chipping but my left hand remained perfectly fine. Someone else had to keep coming over and telling her how to do dip and the steps. I wish they didn’t lie about knowing how to do powder. I wasted a ton of time and money on the worst nails I’ve ever got. Also look at the picture of my pedicure. When I got home I looked at my toes because they kept getting caught on my comforter. Come to find out she barely painted them or filed them. I had to immediately go to a new salon to redo everything. Definitely do...
Read moreI went to Mimi’s because they were highly recommended by a couple of friends. I went in for a fill in and was serviced by the owner, Mimi. When I was being serviced she was using the tool to file the nail down on my acrylic gel nails. I expressed that I was feeling pain when she was taking her time on my pinky nail. She moved to another nail thankfully. However, when removing my nails my pinky nail that she was filing down is split in half. I will not be returning as i now have to wait until my nail to fall off and grow back. I was not recommended to be serviced by the owner but the person I was recommended was not working this particular day. I chose to be serviced by the owner because I had an event to attend otherwise I would have came back another day to be serviced by the lady my friends recommended.
In response to MiMi Nail Salon’s reply: Your records won’t show that because I did not report it to you all I just simply decided not to return. If I provided my name and the last 4 digits of my card that I used that day you will find that I did in fact receive service from you all. I do not want anything from you all other than to warn people to proceed with caution when deciding to use your services. Thank you for replying...
