Yardbird Outdoor Furniture — Attraction in Oakbrook Terrace

We purchased the Luna 4-piece set last year at the Oak Brook store for our terrace in our new downtown Chicago condo. We wanted the darker color cushions but were told that there would be a longer lead time on those because they were back-ordered, but if we ordered the lighter gray cushions they would be available within 3 weeks, so we opted for the lighter gray and sure enough they were delivered within the time stated (which was awesome at the time because every furniture manufacturer was having supply chain issues).

What sealed the deal for us to purchase from Yardbird was multi-fold. 1) The quality of our furniture was very good, especially for the price point. 2) The help we received at the showroom was also quite good. They even had a layout tool to help determine if the furniture would fit in our space. 3) There were fitted covers available which we definitely wanted due to the lack of indoor storage during the winter, and 4) the lead time was perfect.

We are extremely satisfied with the set and used it quite a bit over the summer. Over a year later, they still look great.

One other thing to mention is that while on vacation, one of the covers came off a chair (we do live in the "Windy City") and blew off our terrace, never to be seen again. I contacted Yardbird about getting a replacement. Not only did they reduce the price of a replacement to cover the shipping cost, but they also sent me a set of clips and bungee cords free of charge to prevent future mishaps!

The furniture fits my space perfectly right down to the last inch. The modular capability of the armless left loveseat & armless right sofa allowed me to better utilize my space. I cut Amy loose with a picture of our area rug to select a variety of pillows & she came up with a kaleidoscope of colors and textures that made every single color in the area rugs pop! I can’t thank her enough & she was fun to work with and is so full of personality and humor. I practically live on my back deck and backyard area. It was also great how I was able to mix and match different collections and make them all work. The price point is great without being overwhelmed by 250 different types of fabrics to choose what’s going to work. It simplifies things. We were so impressed with Yardbird. From the first time we walked into the store, the staff assisted us, provided great handouts and information, and gave us the space to let us explore and imagine. We came back a number of times as we put together a vision for our outdoor spaces. They were very accommodating even allowing us to create the layout that we wanted in their store to see how it felt.

The delivery went very smoothly as did the set up. Our couch and chair are very comfortable for sitting and taking naps. My children have become accustomed to enjoying them almost daily after meals. And not only that, they are extremely comfortable and look great. We look forward to many years of...
