We went on a Wed night and Immersive Gamebox was very flexible with our check-ins. We were running a little late but it wasn’t busy. They will probably be busier on Fri and Sat. They give you lockers to store your belongings, large enough to fit 2 winter coats. Make sure you grab the locks with the keys attached.
We had 4 in our group but you can have up to 6. 4 was just right since the room was a little small. When we first started playing Squid Games, it was a little confusing at first but we got the hang of it. There were 6 games in total, and usually 1 and sometimes 2 people will go at a time. Only one game had everyone together. The games were challenging, fun, and everyone had a great time. You’ll see your final score at the end along with the pot of money earned. You take some pictures for a custom made gif and give the game a rating.
Alien aptitude test was loaded up shortly after. This one was a lot more engaging and interactive than Squid Games. They require 2 or more players at a time, one game requires all players. There were a total of 4 games but they were not short. This can also be a good workout since you’re constantly moving if it is your turn. Everyone’s score will be as one, so you’ll have the total score for each game, then it’ll take the average score of all 4 games. I’ll post a picture. You take some pictures for a custom made gif and give the game a rating.
The place was very clean. Service was great. She gave us a clear explanation, but she said if we need anything just ask. Drive to Nordstrom. Park in the garage closest to AMC and the food court (You’ll see Jeni’s and Nando’s). You go up to the second floor, turn left where the indoor food court is at, it’s on your left. You’ll know you’re in the right spot when you see Sandbox VR across...
Read moreEasy online registering, modern-tech made the parking structure very friendly, short walk from parking to front door, simple sign-in aided by friendly staff, lockable storage available for coats and purses. Neighboring retailers include an ice cream shop and a nice looking dining area with a small bar and a few food options.
The games (Angry Birds and Temple of Coins, in my case) were fun, but felt like normal 2D video games with a slightly clunky sort-of-augmented-reality interface pasted over top. This would have been a little bit of a letdown if not for their pretty attractive pricing (even during "peak hours" like my visit).
The only real issue my party and I faced was heat. The rooms are small* (my party was only five, they host up to six) and full of projectors and sensors and semi-active / moving humans... and I didn't feel anything combating that. No breeze, no cold spot by an HVAC vent. Perhaps a summertime visit would be different when the whole building has the AC cranked, instead of a 20 degree winter day where the rest of the building has the heat working overtime such as I visited during.
Seriously small. We used ALL of the space, especially during Temple of Coins — taking turns, four of us were pressed nearly shoulder-to-shoulder against the back wall while the fifth used the rest of the room to play. It would be more comfortable to visit with not more than four in your group, though it was workable and not terribly uncomfortable for my...
Read moreYES YES YES!!! This was seriously such a fun time - like for real. We were a group of 5 - 3 adults and 2 kids ages 10 + 11, and let me tell you, not only the kids loved this but the adults too!
You get your own room (the game box) and play a series of competitive games. You wear a headset that contains sensors to connect to the game on the wall and your body is essentially the game piece - so when you move, the game piece moves and are given instructions on how to play. 5 people was not too many for the room and we were able to complete all the games.
We chose an Alien game which had 4 games, each lasting 11 minutes. The 4 games were all different but you were given instructions before each game began. The games were easy to understand and are fun for all age groups. There are also music and lights flashing in the game box just to be aware and wear cool clothing because it can get warm with all the movement. You can also adjust the music in the room if it gets too loud.
Honestly - I'm not joking, this is one of the funnest group actrivities I've done in the area and it's a really good option for groups and when you can't find anything to do in the winter ;0. Seems somewhat affordable with prices around $20/person (which compared to axe throwing is great!). We...
