2023-12-22: This small park is nestled in a busy area of Ocala, right off a main road. The park is clean, has a paved path, benches, picnic tables, barbecues, bathrooms, and a playground for kids. Today, the playground was very busy and noisy from kids having fun, which is to be expected. On the far end of the park, away from the playground, it was surprisingly peaceful. Even the nearby traffic was barely noticeable. For people who enjoy a short walk in nature, this park is perfect. There weren't any photo opportunities, which is what I crave. Talking to one of the park employees, he said occasionally a pair of Barred Owls can be seen. He also told me about a trail that goes through a small wooded area. I figured since I am already here, I might as well check it out. An old sinkhole. Scott Spring. There are some steps leading down to a nice little dock. I loved it! The sinkhole is only about 100-120 feet wide, and maybe 40 feet across. The water is very clear. I couldn't see any water coming up from a spring, or and water movement indicating a flow. I did see two fish which to me, they look like Pacu. It was so peaceful.

Love going there to walk, and just enjoy a lunch with my family. It has been so relaxing and walking is such a good exercise. The tall trees Look so beautiful as you enjoy your walk. The park is usually clean but bathrooms not so much. Spiders and spiderwebs was in the bathroom on the toilet seat. Inch of water in the floor like somebody had took a bath in there. It's a nice park but lately people living out of their cars and older RV's have been staying there all day. One person in a van actually had their laundry hanging out to dry! Then there was a elderly person out there in a speedo and that was all he was wearing in front of the children! I really like this park but lately it has been a disappointment.

Cute little gem! My sister told us about this place and took us there for a little walk in the park. The cove with caves was so cool! Unfortunately there were small children there dropping a fishing pole in the water over the railing and it wasn't enjoyable to stand there and take in the view with kids screaming and trying to catch these tiny fish that were in the little pond there in front of the cove. I don't think they were supposed to be doing that; but their parents were nowhere to be found. We just left and walked around the park and then left. But, I wanted to say that it was really cute there! We loved the cave area and cove, and I enjoyed learning about the trees on their history boards.

This place has incredible southern live oaks, plenty of trash receptacles, benches, well maintained, plenty of parking. The spring itself is gorgeous however it is really sad to see trash in it. I picked up what little trash around the park I saw but of course you’re not allowed to get into the spring to clean it. There wasn’t much in the spring but there was some and I think there should be better measures to keep refuse from entering it. Park is very dog friendly as well and has a place for kids and BMX enthusiasts. Overall I enjoyed that this little slice of nature can exist almost in the middle of town.

A nice little park with a lot of variety for its size! It has picnic tables, a playground, an open field with palmetto trees, even a little bike trick area. There is of course also a small natural spring… kinda murky but the water is still slightly transparent and you can see fish and the light blue hues that springs have… Funny - I was actually passing through town from out-of-state but had to get tire service and wouldn’t you believe it; this park is right behind the strip mall! I found it very pleasant and stayed for a while.

This Park is now one of my favorite places to just connect to. It holds a certain kind of peace and serenity over it. There was one spot in particular that I was drawn to most. This spot has a cave and there is four different entrances that have not been explored yet and I'm looking forward to going back. It has a playground for the younger kids it has a bike track for older groups with bikes or skateboards it also has two different trails one for hiking. I would definitely recommend this park to anybody.
