I wish I could still say that I am completely happy about shopping at Aldi but since I was unjustly band from the Aldi where I usually shop.Because I tried to do something nice and kind for one of the employees there that I had been briefly speaking with since that store opening. And after all that time I thought she was exceptional kind so I thought I'd surprise her with a painting that I had done for her. She requested copies of the painting, so I took the time and money to get copies made. When I took them to the store and showed them to her, she walked away. Next thing I know, the store manager tells me she had call Ed the district manager and told him what I had done and she was TERRIFIED! I was shocked. Completely taken off guard. How did that terrify her when I only did what she asked. Anyway the store manager said it was out of his hands because she had went over his head to the district manager and was instructed to band me from that store. So I called Albi customer service and went over the whole story with that person who then connected me with another person who told me she would forward the info. to the district manager and to give him 5 days to return a call to me. When a full week went by I called customer service once again and asked if they had heard anything from that district manager because I hadn't. I was then informed that there was no guarantee that that manager would return a call to me and they weren't allow to relay anything he may have said to them about the case if he had. So here I am, a customer of 40+ years iiof Aldi and Aldi just takes the word of an employee that apparently had a problem with me all along talking with her but wasn't honest enough with me to just say I made her nervous when talking to her which at the time that she requested copies, I asked her if I made her nervous always telling her how pretty I thought she was.And her reply to my question was," why would it?" And I said," I don't know but if I do I would just stop talking to u. So now I'm banded and my only fault was listening to her and and trying to do something nice for her. By the way. I'm 72 years old. She's, at the most, 30. I never said anything to her that was nasty or rude. I just wanted to talk to her and be her friend. That's what a person gets in this day and age of hatefulness. So this is what Aldi thinks of a life long customer. The store number of where this took place was 103. I hope someone out there reads this and cares enough and possibly knows someone high up in the Adli chain that can rattle some cages and make this right for me. They made me feel like a criminal. This store now is every bit the equal to the formerly new one down on 200. The selection here may actually be broader and a store or a little larger; the shopping carts are larger. Remember to bring your refundable quarter in order to release a shopping cart. The quarter is refunded when you return the cart. We've been very pleased by the inclusion of organic products, healthy products, and a wider range of international foods than before in almost all departments.
