La-Z-Boy Ocala — Local services in Ocala

Buyer beware. My wife and I bought three recliners from here and spent a little over 2000 bucks. The first thing that happened to us was that the corded power remote control stopped working and this was just over a year. They said that it wasn’t covered by warranty so we just ordered it from eBay and I fixed it myself. An easy fix but it was 179 dollars for a new one. Now the frame is broken on my wife’s recliner so she pulled out the paperwork and called. The lady said that since it was over 6 years they were not sure if they had the parts for it and would have to come out to our house take pictures of it. For over a hundred bucks then go back to there shop to see if they would be able to fix it. If they could fix it they would charge us for pick up labor and all parts for it. Estimated another 5 or 600 bucks for the recliner that was supposed to last us a life time according to the sales lady. I will never buy anything else again from them because they lied to us about the warranty. Where I come from a life time warranty is not just for a few years. Lazy boy back in the day was a good product but not any more. I just hope this helps someone out and you don’t make a costly mistake like we did. My advice is. Just go buy a cat napper or another brand for a lot less money and throw it away after it...

We visited LA-Z-BOY in the summer 2023. Of course we were intercepted as soon as we walked in the door. But the sales person honored our request for space. When we had questions, she was very helpful. She went out of her way to find us what we were looking for. As such, we did make a couple of purchases. They were delivered by a couple of nice gentlemen, who took care not to damage anything. As such, I am writing this review, seated in one of our purchases. The La-Z-Boy showroom isn't the largest furniture store we've been to. But they do not sell as wide a variety of different types of furniture. So they can get away with a smaller building. For the most part, they had a decent selection. We were able to find things that fit our needs. Now let's be clear. La-Z-Boy is not cheap. They have some items that are more reasonably priced than others. But most is fairly expensive. But, you get what you pay for. I have spent less on similar furniture in the past, only to spend more money not that long after. I have also purchased La-Z-Boy in the past. There was no comparison. I found the build quality and mechanisms, to work better and last much longer. As such, certain items I wanted were only going to be found at La-Z-boy. Boy am I comfortable as I write this. This is only the second complaint I have written in my life. I am very flexible and understanding that problems happen especially in today’s world. I purchased a sofa in April. I was informed that due to covid the sofa would not arrive until the first week of august. I accepted the delay and purchased the sofa. The second week of August I called the store because I did not receive a call to set up my delivery. I was told the sofa would be delayed and arrive end of August to first week of September and I would get a call to set up a date for delivery. I called the store again today 9/13 because again I did not receive a call to set up a delivery date. I was told that the sofa was delayed another 4 WEEKS. I just want to cancel my order at this point, but they refused due to special order. The lack of communication is what upsets me the most. This is a newly built first home so I don’t have an old sofa to sit on and have been confined to my bedroom. I keep delaying house warming party because of this. I am sick of companies just being able to do what they want and just having to accept it. Who’s to say that in 4 weeks it won’t be delayed again. I wish I could...
