This theatre, Regal Hollywood, has the best staff. We'd been thoroughly disappointed when after booking tickets including assigned seats at another (decidedly unepic) theatre, that the movie had been moved to a smaller theater and all e-tickets purged from their system. On a whim (we were several hours from home) having traveled specifically to see "I Heard The Bells" which was only playing this one weekend at 4:00pm on Saturday and 4:00pm on Sunday at there's across the country, we decided BEFORE calling the trip an "Epic failure" we'd try the next closest theatre. We were already late, so we knew it'd be close, but it was my birthday and Momma and I were going full throttle into this misadventure. When we arrived, there was a sign on the box office window that said to buy tickets at the concession stand. When we approached, there were two (2) men seemingly doing inventory and two folks being helped at the counter. As soon as we rounded the corner, Joel stopped doing inventory and called us right over. We explained the situation and he told us if we picked out seats quickly we had 4 minutes of previews left BEFORE the movie. He helped us choose excellent seats based on our preferences. He got us fresh popcorn and a crisp root beer. He wished me a happy birthday and we made it just as the final preview ended. The theatre was clean and will kept (the lobby and restroom as well). They have xcelerator hand dryers (I do REALLY love those). The sound was fantastic. The picture quality quite good. We stopped after the movie to thank him, but he's already gone off shift. We did tell the lady we sooner to that he made my birthday and he is truly an asset to the theater. We actually went back to the other theatre and let them know if they can't seat all those with tickets tomorrow, they should DEFINITELY send them to the Regal Hollywood. I HIGHLY recommend this theatre. Not only did they make it possible for us to see this limited room movie, when we shared our misadventure, Joel was too classy to say a single negative thing about the other theatre. He listened. He said he was sorry it happened. He said he could make it right and he did. For his customer service alone is drive the hour back to see a film at The Regal...
Read moreUnfortunately, I'm having to remove my previous 5 star rating, which I gave it when I saw the newest Jurassic Park, and provide a one star. I purchased tickets for the new F1 movie as soon as they became available. I haven't been so excited to see a movie in Screen X for a long time. The pre-opening night was Thursday, 6/26/25. Myself and my daughter went to the official opening night, Friday, 6/27/25. ( And, an early showing of 4:15pm ). I was immediately disappointed that the theater had zero merchandise for this movie. I was advised they ran out of all merchandise the night before. How does a theater run out of merchandise for such a big film in one evening? As a huge F1 fan and fan of this theater, I was extremely disappointed. Especially since it was advertised that this would be available. Let's move on to concession. I ordered two hot dogs. My daughter and I were advised that they were recently put on, so they had to check the temperature of such before serving. In short order, they were given to us. Guess what? They weren't at the appropriate temperature. Both myself and my daughter got FOOD POISONING!!! That night... at the same time and for the same duration of time. We hadn't seen each other all day and had no food in common except the hot dogs. This was NOT a coincidence!!! I ordered popcorn. I was told they were low on popcorn. What? This is a movie theater, right? Myself and my daughter and I ordered Icees. We were provided them. However, my daughter was advised that they would probably be syrupy because the ingredients hadn't had time to mix. Guess what? They were correct. What a horrible experience!!! I will never go back. After that experience and a night of hugging the toilet, Epic, here I come. I caution everyone before eating their food. And I hope management reads this. I paid a lot of money for this experience, and it needs to be made right. Cameron was, as always,...
Read moreWe go to a movie theater for the experience it offers, not so much the movie. This theater is so incredibly dated, expensive, and underwhelming in every aspect. This is the first theater I’ve been to in years that does not have the deluxe soda machines where you can choose a variety of flavors. You even have to get it from the people behind the counter. I’m guessing so they can charge you for refills on soda that is literally the cheapest thing you can buy in this world. You want water? You can buy a small bottle of it for almost $6! The popcorn “station” (if you can call what a sad table that is) didn’t even have extra salt to put on popcorn. Most places even have flavored shakers, like cheese, to put on your popcorn. My husband was very disappointed in that. This is the first time I’ve never eaten more than a handful of movie theater popcorn. It was bland and just greasy from their so-called “butter.” The seats are not comfortable. The movie was supposed to start at 7, but we didn’t even get to the movie until 7:30, if even that. I’m guessing they were short staffed and someone didn’t start it until they could. The reason I gave it two stars instead of the one is only because of the employees I had the opportunity to speak with. All of them very nice and a gentleman behind the counter went out of his way to make sure our daughter could have the popcorn and the oil it’s cooked in (many allergies). To the owners - it is time to put some work into this theater. It is dated. It is grungy. You charged wayyyyy more than any theater I’ve been to that’s even remotely looked like this. We will not be back until it’s upgraded. Would rather travel to a nice one a half hour away to give...
