Not sure if this place is a joke or not. First time i called i was on hold for 5 mins and then a man answered to tell me that they are not taking orders… THIS IS MAYBE 2pm ON A WEEKDAY when pizza shops are doing the MOST BUSINESS. Not turning phone orders away. So i place an order online and it magically went thru. FYI, half of my family cannot have cheese. So we ordered WITHOUT mozzarella cheese. It arrives COVERED with cheese. So the driver calls the store and says that they ARE remaking the pizza know to give it 30 mins or so. Well 35-40 mins go by and nothing so we call the store and this is when we get the run around.. “I can’t get in contact with the driver and he will not be back for another hour. So now we decide to drive down there to see whats going on. We get there, there are signs saying if you have a complaint to grab a grenade and things of that nature AND CLEARLY, THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Anyways our pizza still has not even attempted to be made when we are there and what do you know? OUR DRIVER WALKS THRU THE DOOR 3 MINS after we arrived. (So much for not being able to get in contact with your driver though right?) after waiting in the pizza shop for 15 mins for the pizza, we saw 4 different families try to come in and get lunch but GOT TURNED AWAY and was told they weren’t taking orders, COUNTLESS phone calls where your employees would answer and say we are not taking orders. What really made me type this review is the fact that to all the other negative reviews, you claim that customer service is your top priority which couldn’t be any further from the truth. Not 1 thing was done to help us or try to make the situation right. You are lucky to get 1 star from ANY REVIEW seeing as how most of the reviews are negative. BUYER BEWARE TERRIBLE SERVICE IS MORE THAN EXPECTED AT PIZZA MAMBOS PHILADELPHIA AVE OCEAN...
Read moreI rarely write reviews, but my recent experience with this pizza chain left me no choice. I called to order pizza and wings for my family while staying at a nearby hotel, and what should’ve been a simple phone order turned into a 10+ minute mess of being transferred between three different locations. Each staff member seemed clueless about their own delivery zones, and no one could tell me which store served my area. After finally being directed to what should have been the correct location—just four minutes away from my hotel—I was met with an incredibly rude young woman who flat-out refused to take my delivery order. Her tone was dismissive, and instead of trying to help, she immediately claimed we were “too far,” despite the clear Google Maps distance. When I called one of the other stores back to explain the situation and ask why they transferred me to a location that wouldn’t deliver, the woman on the phone said bluntly, “I don’t know why you're calling me. Call them back and ask them.” Zero accountability, no desire to help—just more attitude. The lack of professionalism and complete disregard for customer service across all three locations I spoke to was shocking. The employees were impatient, rude, and clearly uninterested in helping customers. There was no attempt to resolve the issue, no apology for the confusion—just disrespectful and condescending behavior. Based on this experience alone, I cannot recommend this business to anyone. Customer service matters, and the way I was treated was unacceptable. If you're visiting the area or live nearby, I strongly suggest you take your business elsewhere. There are too many other options out there that actually value...

I call the restaurant and tell them I want their "Double Deal" (two pizzas, two toppings $32). I order a mushroom/onion pizza and pepperoni/sausage pizza and walk the two blocks to pick it up. Woman on the phone tells me 15-20 minutes. I walk the 5 minutes to the restaurant and then wait over 30 minutes for the pizzas. Pizzas are rung up and the bill is $42 plus tax. I ask the woman working the counter why the pizza is so expensive as I had ordered the $32 deal. She informs me that the special is for two toppings total (not two per pizza). I ask her why she didn't inform me of this when I placed the phone order? Her exact response, "You want the pizzas or not"? I ask to speak with the manager who admits that people make this mistake "all the time". He then tells me its everyone's fault for not reading the ad correctly. I ask him about the woman not advising me of my mistake when I placed the order and his response was a dismissive shrug. Ok, I get it, late night pizza joint preying on hungry drunk tourist (I was sober), but deceiving customers, charging $10 for 2 toppings and then trying to gaslight me that I was in the wrong, that just ain't right. Ok, Pizza Mambo, you got me for the $10, life goes on...hopefully this review saves other potential customers from getting scammed. For the sake of full disclosure, the pizza was 3 stars. Lots of much better...
