Tipsy Taco - Ocean City — Restaurant in Ocean City

This place was ass. I came on vacation with my little brother and best friend. I was standing there watching the servers do nothing but talk to each other, they saw me and looked away as to not serve me. I walked back to my people to ask them, like "what is going on?" I watched the same server who ignored me seat a family of 6 down before us.

Finally I just walked up to one and was like "Hi can we get a table? There's 3 of us" she finally sat us down, in which we asked to be sat outside. It took a while for her to even just get us water to the table, let alone the food. Finally we get our food and...it's just okay. It's nothing remarkable, but by then I'm already feeling extremely weird about the whole vibe of this place, but alas I was the one who dragged my brother and friend to eat here, so I finish off. Burger was nice, if you like super crispy fries, go for it, to me the fries were also ass, so I didn't finish it. It took AGES for the server to bring us the check, like she's avoiding us. The. Whole. Time. When I tell you they were barely busy, there was still people inside, but they already had their food and had been served. The two women servers there that day were just talking to each other, there should have been no reason for it to take that long. By then my brother and friend were done and just ready to go. Finally I just get up and ask for the check myself.

I was originally going to leave a tip, but my final interaction with the server was just so...ugh like, it rubbed me the wrong way. I don't even know how to describe it, just don't eat here. If you're visiting Ocean City go to places like Brass Balls Saloon, Crepe Daddy or Franco's Pizza & Bar. Great food and great service with wonderful and friendly staff. This place...don't waste your time because they will waste yours. I can acknowledge the positive reviews, however that was not the experience I got when I visited with my family, who felt the same as I did about the service. Im not sure where the high ratings for this establishment came from but I can assure you it’s far from a 4.7. In fact, if I could rate this 0 stars, I would. Please do not waste your time or appetite here.

The first red flag was upon entry. There was the busy outside seating area with customers but not one table had food or drinks on them. 2nd red flag was the 2 street tacos for $12. If you know anything about a street taco you should know this price is absolutely ridiculous. Despite this I still ordered (that’s my fault).

Me and my bfs order consisted of 1x margarita, guac and chips, chips & salsa & 1 order of shrimp tacos. After 45 minutes we received the order including the 2x starters that were just chips…… The 13 dollar guac that took 45 minutes to make, came in a small side cup, and was poorly made. Idk if it was old, or was made with unripe avocados but it tasted spoiled and had huge chunks of onions in it. My shrimp tacos had very evident toppings from a jar (pickled purple cabbage, pineapples) which whatever idc but what took 45 minutes?!

I’ve eaten at plenty Tex-Mex restaurants and this by far was the worst experience. This place is overpriced and overrated. As intriguing as the outside pictures and sit down area looks, don’t even bother...

5 Stars just isn't enough for this place! We stopped by here, minutes before an insane thunderstorm, and they were packed, with no indoor seating. We walked maybe 20 ft, and the owner came running out and said "8 top? We got you!" Him and his staff proceeded to build an 8 top under one of the awnings outside. We were ordering, and in the middle of the order, the reason began to come down, HEAVY. It started going sideways, and we were getting wet, as well as the table. At this point, they opened the doors to shut down establishment next door, and seated us in there.

At this point, the owners, the staff, and everyone involved with the restaurant had GONE WELL ABOVE AND BEYOND any sort of normal customer service. From seating us, to save us from the rain, to the moving the tables once more to avoid the rain yet again, I've NEVER been to a restaurant that has looked out for it's customers this much.

The burgers were absolutely amazing, and the tacos were too die for! This place needs 100 Stars! And when you're in Ocean City, give this place your business!
