We stopped here during our recent trip to the shore. In the front window they have wind chimes that my kids would just not leave alone, I kept quietly trying to tell them to get away from them and instead of giving glaring looks or asking the kids to stop, the owner (I think) came over and showed my son exactly how to run his hand across to make them all chime. I was super impressed with how friendly and personable the employees are and how well they handled rambunctious kiddos who wanted to touch everything in the store. Read moreThe guys here are always very helpful and keep an eye on the weather. Offered great advice on the first kites we purchased for the kids. Came back to get something we could do stunts with and they offered great tips on how to control the stunt kite. The guys were spot on for our first course in stunt technique :). We came back to discuss some ways to do more and they provided us with some splippery and lighter kite string. Wow, what a difference!!!! The kite responded ultra quick to the controls, the family had a blast. Not many places in this world where you don't spend a lot of money and essentially get unlimited courses. Get out there, see these guys, press them for technique and your kite flying skills will be...

As we were leaving, I thought about some kites I have been looking for for a year: Finger Kites. We saw a street vendor selling them in Portland and didn't buy one. After our travels, we couldn't find any in our area. Ocean Shores Kites actually have a display case of Mini-Kites and prices ranged from $8 to over $20. I bought two (one for myself and my son) and we are very happy with...
