Shore Shack — Restaurant in Ocean Shores

Only the drive thru is available. When I pulled up I could smell strong cigarette smoke, which I assumed was because an older gentleman was smoking near the building. Ordered from a very gruff impatient lady. When I finally got the order it was missing the soda that came with my husband's combo and one cup of clam chowder. We didn't realize this until after we pulled away. We didn't want to go back through the drive thru because there was another car there and wait times are long. So my husband went in to the little plaza where there is a door to the restaurant. He had to bang on it for a while before the gruff lady responded angrily. She argued that we were not missing a cup of chowder and my husband ended up having to pay for a whole other cup in order to get it. Not only that but the cigarette smell was coming from inside the restaurant and there were ashes all over the counter. Not a sanitary place to eat at all. My fried oysters were disgusting. Worst I've ever had. The burgers were mid. The fries were ok, even though they were stuck together in a clump. 80 bucks to feed my family gross food from a gross restaurant. 100% do...

Checked the reviews when looking for some good comfort food and happened to find Shore Shack, seeing as the burgers were really popular we ordered the Hawaiian burger for all three of us! It truly lived up to the reviews as the combination of pineapple and barbecue sauce was a pleasant surprise for the burgers, they ended up being a tasty meal for everyone. Onion rings and fries on the side were both really good. Definitely beats McDonald’s, I don’t mind soft drink with fast food but if they served milkshakes they’d be perfect. Our family had been back a few times since, the drive thru happens to be very convenient and accessible to the main road Chance A La Mer. Really hits the spot for comfort food cravings. Based off the more negative reviews we didn’t encounter any of the issues others seemed to experience aside from dining in as we get the food to-go; the lady was patient with us while ordering and they seem like they work very hard to serve great food to OS residents and...

Maybe just renovation woes have effected the lady, but I think she'd like it better if you just handed her $40 and go away. Hope she receives Grace and turns it around. It's drive thru only, she's the window cashier /help, the cook, and the order checker. However , you're not there. If we had to go back it'd be to take her an orchid or something and leave . Everything about our personal experience was the same. Service/food/price.... But, usually its great to go to a little place that isn't all glibby. This time no. We walked around later and saw another burger joint with an order sitting before the customers and the burgers were huge, and there was a mound of fries for the same price . Anyways. Life has it's times where it happens. We chalked it up as how else would we have found the person to pray for that day:) Small burger, small amounts of fries, and kid size drinks .
