Buccaneer Beach — Attraction in Oceanside

This is one of our most favorite places to go to there's the park across the street from the beach. Will play for hours at the beach and hours at the park. The beach dredging hasn't happened and so there's a large shelf that you have to carefully walk down. But every year they have done the dredging. This year they didn't do the dredging. It’s an okay spot, but it’s NOT a dog beach. There are signs that dogs are not allowed. There is a small unfenced dog park with poops bags but that’s about it. If you want a place to take your dog to run and play this isn’t the spot. Nearest dog beach in north county is going to be Del Mar and I believe there’s some in Cardiff during certain times...

It was beautiful and a great place. We love it there! There was a notice of a sewage spill in the area but we kept out of the water. We were there for the beach not the water on this particular day. There is plenty of parking at Buccaneer park and on the street. There is also a cute little café there too and plenty of room for games, basketball...
