SELFISH and UNETHICAL Sales Representative (Jennifer)! I have been working for weeks now with Christine at this Oceanside Lamps Plus location. She has been ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL at helping us find “Just the Right” chandeliers/sconces and pendants for a large project at our home. She has been so patient, kind and skilled in helping us coordinate the design of each item to match our needs. I know that Christine put A LOT of EXTRA time into researching which items would be the best match for us. She even researched items that do not show on their website so we would be happy with our purchase.
When I finally called the store to place a LARGE order, a sales person named Jennifer answered the phone. Since Christine was not working that day, Jennifer said that she could help me place the order. I knew how much time Christine had put into our project, so I asked Jennifer if she could please give the credit to Christine for the order so she could make her commission. Jennifer said yes, she would apply the credit to Christine. Today I went to the store to do a return and found out that Jennifer DID NOT apply the credit to Christine. Jennifer STOLE/ROBBED/POACHED Christine of her hard efforts. These days, it is so nice to find someone who will take the time to pay attention to detail and do the hard work necessary to complete a job “well done”. I am SO “Thankful” for Christine and feel that Jennifer was “Selfish and Unethical” in stealing her credit. I hope that someone in Corporate reads this review and gives Christine the reward she deserves. Read moreStopped in at 5 pm on a Thursday to try and find an odd, small picture frame fixture light bulb. Shocked to see a line in front of the store to get in...no problem, that was for the neighboring Trader Joe's,lol. As I walked in the 3 women sales associates quickly pegged me to be not the guy looking to remodel the lighting fixtures throughout the house. They directed me to the guy in the back who handled the " specialty bulbs. Glad they did. Sales Associate # 007( RIP Sean Connery)285 was the kinda guy that provides 110% service. Knew his product. I'dbrought in the burnt out one. " That's a T-10; would you like frosted or clear?" " Let me show you the difference ". Screwed them both into empty sockets he had set up to give customers a real life comparison. That specialty bulb section was his domain. Courteous, prompt, and polite. They have a great employee in # 007285. Unfortunately their Customer Service Satisfaction Survey sucks cuz I couldn't get it to open after 3 trys. Glad this Google survey gave me a venue to express the good experience that I had there. Btw,Trader Joe's ain't worth a 20 minute wait IMHO. I was looking for bathroom lighting and was prepared to be disappointed. Other stores acted like they were doing me a favor to wait on me, usually didn’t know their products and would do nothing to help. As soon as I entered I was met by Jennifer who was knowledgeable and pleasant and attentive. I found 3 possibilities but wasn’t sure which would work. I wanted to see them at home. Jennifer agreed that that was a good idea, explained their return policy and went into action to check their stock. We had missed the 2:00 phone in for next day delivery so Jennifer checked other stores in the area. I was in a time crunch so she offered to take down the store display light, plus the other 2. She also helped with design input on a front door light. I left totally satisfied and with renewed faith in brick and mortar stores.
