They treated me like a pawnshop. Iāve sold things to Leo Hamel before was satisfied. BUT I brought in a $5,000 Engagement ring yesterday and the woman treated me like a pawnshop she said well what are you looking to get for it. I informed her that I sold Diamonds to jewelers in Philadelphia and purchased them in Manhattan wholesale. And she insulted me it was actually abusive with a $500 offer now I realize That they need to sell it used and they need to To discount it even from wholesale. I even let her know that I had two other offers for 1000 and 1200. But Iām bringing this out because she lied about even the size of the diamonds. This is pathetic never ever use Leo Hamel they have changed dramatically in the last 10 years and they are taking advantage of people. By the way Kayla Pretends like sheās acting on a script as in she doesnāt know that that diamond is really worth a certain amount of money. She absolutely knows and then she said the words out of her mouth that we really donāt need it as if I am the one that needs it I need to act out of desperation to echo the review of another woman on here.
Oh my God after reading the review she calls me and barrettes me saying what makes me the expert. Run from this place run from this particular person she will do nothing but take it vantage of you and then berate you for trying to do so like...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to sell some jewelry at Leo Hamel in Oceanside (same parking lot as Trader Joes) and was helped by Kayla. I was broken heart to see my jewelry go, because most of them hold a huge amount of sentimental value to it, you know... a special date, a push gift, an engagement all memories that I don't want ever forget. Also I was a little bit embarrassed of selling them, because I really had to sell them, and it feels uncomfortable being in this situation. But Kayla was very nice, she offered refreshments, apologized for taking time to be very thoughtful while evaluating the items (witch I appreciate) and most of all, she was not judgmental. She was very professional, understanding, caring, nice. She paid me more than the competition offered me for the items. She showed respect for my situation and for my jewelry and I am forever grateful for her to help me through this hard time of my life. She told me what worth sell and what didn't, witch was also super nice because I was able to hold on some stuff that do not have really much commercial value but have sentimental value. If I have to ever sell something again I am going to this place again, but I will call ahead and make sure that I go over there when Kayla is there. Thank you Kayla. And thank you Leo for hiring nice, smart, sensitive and professional people like...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went in today to sell some jewelry that I haven't worn in years. I was uncomfortable and intimidated ... until I met Kayla Harrington. I ended up deciding to keep my jewelry, but Kayla was very professional and answered all my questions. Actually, she did much more than that. She patiently described the process and what my other options were. At no time did I feel pressured to make a decision. Kayla is very passionate about jewelry and I enjoyed learning from her about different metals and precious stones. I guess that's why I decided to keep my jewelry, because I appreciated it more once I knew what it was. I looked up the accreditations on her card when I got back to my car, and that is when I realized she is both a GIA graduate gemologist and graduate jewelry. Now I realize why she is passionate about her profession. I am a big fan of Leo Hamel jewelry. Last time I was in San Diego I stopped by their showroom looking for a used watch and was lucky enough to meet both Leo and Lisa at that time. Very friendly people, I can see how they attract and retain such quality...
