Read moreWife & I visited from Louisiana. I collect crystals myself, and regularly interact with local witches/pagans/people who use spellwork, herbs, etc. We decided to go here after Terra Stone (who has AMAZING crystal specimens) because of the pictures and all the 5 star reviews. I should have read the 1 star reviews before going, too.
First off, the energy of the store was very, very off. Second, my wife and I felt as if we were being followed by the employees. The ONLY time we were greeted was when I asked my wife if a crystal was supposed to be Smokey Quartz because the specimen was so dark (poor quality smokey quartz/x-ray treated). Suddenly a saleswoman was behind me asking if I had questions about items on the shelf (I did not. It was a question to my wife specifically). And then we continued to be trailed by employees. I'm not surprised to see others had this issue.
Crystals are insanely overpriced for both their size and quality, including the jewelry. Some items being sold are part of closed practices, with incorrect information on how these items are to be used.
Many of the items in the store were wholesale and insanely marked up. Or you can find them online. There was a tarot deck behind the cabinet I know for a fact is at Spencer's for a fraction of the price. The whole store felt like it was definitely more for tourists than genuine practitioners. We left without buying anything, and will not be back.
2 stars because there was a lot to look at. It was interesting, at the very least. But the experience was not very pleasant. And after reading the owner's tone in responses to others giving very valid criticisms, I can definitely see why the store's energy felt...
Read moreI went in there with $123 purchase. I only had $120 on my cash app card. So the girl up front made it down to the $119 mark, with the 3% card rate. And then left me with the other dollar and some change I was trying to put on a separate card, but they had a $5 minimum. So why divide my expensive purchase into a number that would require me to purchase even more, if you knew the rates already? I asked to drop a 5$ item. Which would frol the extra $1.90 and give me $3 back from precious card swipe. They made a big deal of it so instead of holding up everyone behind me I left with a few dollar loss and without the extra item I wanted. If you know the total don't divide it in a way that requires me to spend more after spending enough. I'll go to Nature's Treasures for life before I come back here. 0/10 recommend 👌 *As a response to their response, I get that. But if you see I'm paying with cards, and there's a $5 minimum, say that before running the first card. And be smart enough to maybe tack $6 onto the next card and make the customer aware of the purchase limits. Because I'd have paid $6 less the first transaction to expect another fee on $1.90. So no, it wasn't handled properly. She ran my card for the first amount instead of telling me leaving just $1.90 would be an entire separate transaction to complete, with a $5 minimum, and transaction fee. If she would have explained that initially, I'd have done like I just stated and move each transaction by a few dollars. It was not. Weird you think that's...
