Menchie's Frozen Yogurt — Attraction in Oklahoma City

Good frozen yougurt, good location. I do have this to say, on this night, July 1st 2023, came in around 9 p.m. There was a little family eating and 3 employees. The 3 employees were just standing there behind the counter, talking and talking. Why does this matter? The place was filthy. Black gunk on the bottom of tables, on the edges of floor. The floor itself was so very dirty. The countertop/island where you pay was full of crumbs and where the toppings were at, encrusted dried yogurt and toppings everywhere. The yogurt dispensers were smeared at the bottom with, you guessed it, yogurt. It looked like a child went crazy fingerpainting. We were there for while, noone else entered the store and the young ladies just standing around, not cleaning but talking. I did notice a camera in the upper right hand corner of the store so if i am not to be believed just review it and you will see. There was enough time to clean up between the 3 of them. Only the ash haired one was checking the machines, the tall brunette and the other one were just standing around...

My lil has been begging me for Menchies for weeks now, we finally broke down and I'm just having anxiety at the thought of how much our visit would cost when she piles 5 pounds of gummy worms on top ;) then......the moment we sat down she gets this look of shock disgust because she got the sour vanilla flavor instead of the regular sweet vanilla. I told her to go ahead and get the one she wanted (I actually didn't mind the taste of her sour vanilla with the gummy worms after all!) So.....I go to pay for her round 2 and the lovely lady working tonight- I think she said her name was Karla, said don't worry about it! She saw our ordeal and I am just struck by her kindness and the fact that she was so generous to us, even while they were fairly busy, really just warmed my heart. Thank you Karla for your kindness and human connection. I'd come back to this location just for the service 😊 good employees are hard to find but Menchies...

We went on a Saturday afternoon. It was pretty busy. The yogurt was delicious, and there was a good variety of flavors! The toppings were stocked pretty well. The freezer was packed with a lot of ready to take home tubs of all the flavors and quite a few different cakes. Overall I was very pleased with the setup. Besides the few room temp drinks I thought was out of place.

Oddly, the staff wasn’t friendly or welcoming, nobody greeted anyone I saw enter, or offer help to anyone that I saw… We had to go say hello and ask how it works(None of our group had been to a self serve frozen yogurt shop) and when my friend went back up to purchase a drink, she just stared at her after she paid and said “you just get it yourself” there was no thank you’d or have a nice day either. It was a little awkward since we were new and just weren’t sure exactly how jt worked. However, we will be back...
