The Shoppes at Old Bridge — Attraction in Old Bridge Township

Designed and no doubt initially marketed as a collection of higher-end boutiques, it is much more pedestrian today and a bit .. ignored? As of this review, I would guess about 30% of the retail space here is vacant, probably as the unique design and placement of these "Shoppes" ensures poor visibility of the property from US-9, while its also difficult to access unless you enjoy fighting traffic and approach it from different directions. Management better try harder to fill the empty restaurant space at the very main entrance of the property, as that SCREAMS that this location has lost a lot of its panache. The surviving shoppes aren't all that much to get excited about. For example, Children's Place has only a SINGLE dressing room for kids to try on clothing, and if you're unlucky, you will be caught behind one of the plentiful ignorant people who live in this area, who will have their daughter/granddaughter try on 25 or more garments, and ignore that you and your family have been patiently waiting to try on 3-4 for your kid. There is also a Queso-style fast-Mexican restaurant here, but it was largely empty and the food was 2 star at best during our visit (and, expensive at that). New York & Co. has a store, and there's a "Crunch" Fitness studio (which seemed popular with attractive young people), but another retail tenant or two leaving, and this place is heading...

There is nothing much left in this shopping complex. It used to be famous for GAP, Banana Republic and New York & Company all of which are closed or closing.

Panera Bread has been exposed where all the food is frozen and pre-packaged so doesn't hold much worth anymore.

Children's Place clothing is probably the only saving remaining grace here.

Unlike North Brunswick location, this Shoppes is a sorry excuse for any restaurants...

This shopping center is pretty convenient and has lots of variety of stores and also a gym. I’m looking forward to the new restaurant coming in place of the previous one . Also the new taco place should be a good change in the area and is needed . Hours are also pretty decent for this shopping center . Lots of parking space even during busy time .
