Absolutely awesome store! I moved to the Auburn/Opelika area four years ago from Chicago, where we had a lot of stores like this and so I was ecstatic when I saw Almost Anything come up in a Google search. Unfortunately, my work schedule has prevented me from being able to visit until today, and I was totally impressed with the layout of the store and all of the items for sale. It totally lived up to the expectations I had from visiting the Facebook page and looking at all of the pictures. This store literally has almost anything, and everything they have falls into all of my favorite categories to nerd out. They have musical instruments and gear, collectibles (the vintage Star Wars toys are an especially awesome sight), comics, cards, electronics, computers, antiques, jewelry, records, and video games. I could literally spend a couple of hours just looking at each area to see everything, and be totally content in having only seen it. And quite possibly the coolest thing of all is the staff! I don't know the gentleman's name unfortunately, I was a bit in awe and forgot my manners, but I spent a good amount of time just talking to him about video games and musical instruments as he also happens to be a musician like myself. I have never met him, let alone never getting a chance to visit the store until today, and yet talking with him made me feel as though I had been coming there for years and I could tell he truly enjoyed his job and had love for all of the things in the store. I can't wait to get a chance to go back in when I have more time and perhaps I'll even find something that will be easy to bring home with me, since I wanted everything I saw today! Great shop, great atmosphere and merchandise, and even greater staff! Thank You for making my first visit live up to the hype I had built...
Read moreBeen to this place before and bought some cheap nes fillers for my collection. Hadn’t been in a while so I decided to go back. Man was I disappointed! They had some nes games I was looking for but they were all well over priced like everything else in the store. There were two guys working in there, one guy never made eye contact with me or any other customers that were in there and I asked the other guy about a game I was looking for and he acted like he didn’t even want to talk to me and he was standing there doing nothing but looking at his phone! I mean I was actually considering paying higher prices for a few games I wanted there but after the way the guy just blew me off and showed no interest in customer service I walked out. I will NEVER come back to this establishment again and will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. I’ll take my money to game exchange right down the road next time. At least their prices are fair market value and they know how to treat customers! Ps I’m including a photo of a nes bundle that is outrageously overpriced even with their holiday...
Read moreall the records they sell are horribly scratched and thats justified because they’re for “collectors” (same goes for almost every broken item in the store) i went through a decent collection, found some records and when i was walking around the guy running the show took them and hurriedly searched for the best value he could because he “hadnt looked through them yet”, eventually saying he would “let them go” for 20 each. before explaining that if the belt sanded record wasnt scratched it could go for way more! and that “its his store he can charge what he want” LMAO my friend asked to see something on the wall since it was obscured by so much junk and he assured us he would only let us see something if we were going to buy. :) found the same record i wanted sealed down the road for like 3 bucks more, i’d highly recommend skipping over this clown show. i thought it was a cool store until i spoke to the person running it, i...
