Oregon City Swimming Pool — Attraction in Oregon City

Frustrating scheduling, everything is in tiny 1-2 hour blocks of extremely specific activities and very heavily focused on seniors and children. I checked the schedule today, nothing at all mentioned for 3pm so I assumed it was open for free swim, as the pool was set to be open but had nothing listed then. I went in and the staff looked at me like I was stupid, told me it's a private event going on, and that if I wanted to swim I could come back in 4 hours and then there'd be a whole 1 hour block of time I could swim for. They also suggested coming back the next day for a different 1 hour block. Who swims for only 1 hour? I came by today because it's my day off. I have a lot of chronic pain and decided it would be worth it to take a trip to the pool, even though I had to bus and walk in the heat to get there, because I wanted to just float for a while and relieve some tension and pain. Instead just had to go back home and pay the pain price for the journey there and back. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE FOR OUR LITTLES BIRTHDAY! We rented the outside, first we arrived 10min early and waited 30min to even get them to unlock everything for us to set up. All the kids (while very nice) were clueless and had to all ask each other every little thing, getting into our rental time.

Apparetly the wading pond is not "part of the reservation " but there's no other way to rent it. Theres a picture of it and no description on the web page, very deceiving! We were also told when we arrived they would fill it, then decided not to? Then someone puked in the pool which we had to wait 45min for them to clean. We also were not made aware that another birthday party was arriving and rented out the whole pool!

Communication was horrible and our kid even cried since they couldn't go into the pool, on their birthday! I told the kids I wanted to hear from their manager during the week and it's been 3...

Worst pool experience I've ever had. The 8 lifeguards on duty for glow swim were overbearing and controlling. They harassed the same families and children over and over for the most minor things (jumping off the edge of a diving board but not the front), etc. They were telling parents when to be near their children, forcing them to take breaks from swimming, and blowing their little whistles every 5 secs. We left halfway through a 90 min. event because none of us were having any fun being yelled at any longer. Will never return here.
