Read moreI guess it really depends how long you have lived in Orlando it not the Colonial Plaza I grew up with. I started going there in 1974 when it was really a Plaza now I call it a promenade which means you enter all of the buildings from the exterior. Everyone hung out there you Drive back-and-forth between Steak ‘n Shake then come back to the parking lot and hang with your friends. At night they were different organizations of high school and early college people with there street race cars there was the Chevy club, Mopar club, Corvette club just about any make and model has its own. Club and Hang out area in those days there were vans with the big round window and all the guys had a make out area in the back, The excitement would start when someone would challenge someone to a race and 100 to 200 cars would all start up at the same time. We would head east in a procession out to dump road where the races were held to watch and see what happened Yes some of us participated LOL Back in the old days you actually entered it from the front, rear or the sides it was one large building. Today you enter all the buildings from the exterior you park in the middle close to the store that you want to go to. You don’t have to park in the North 40 and walk in.I like that concept much better I highly recommend Colonial Plaza it has anything and everything you would need Marshalls, Staples, Hallmark store, big lots, AT&T store, Books A Million and...
Read moreVery nice, Colonial one, the one I had a problem was Semoran's Ross. I went on discount day ( Tuesday) to get a pair of athletic gear that didn't fit. I went to back to "just get a bigger size" the register, said the staff employee wanted me to pay( $1) to exchange! That was ridiculous! It was an exchange! I said never mind, give me what I paid back. Then her tune changed. I know it wasn't her fault, I fault Ross and if DD's discount does that. It shouldn't be. I feel it's a deceptive practice. However, she said "I'll do it this time, like she was doing me a favor?! But in the future, "no." Ha! I was just exchanging ! So, there won't be a future with the Semoran's Ross! I had not had a problem with the other Ross(s)if I just needed to exchange sizes! If there is a problem so ridiculous as this, then, I'll just get back my money what I paid for ( the discount day) and leave. Go...
