I never write bad reviews, but I had such a horrific experience that I have to share. I drove over an hour away to see Lexington. I had observed his work on Facebook & Instagram and loved what he did. Once I got to the salon, I showed him what I wanted done. And explained what I wanted. Not only was he super aggressive with my hair, that I had to hold back tears, but he completely gave me the WORST results ever. Instead of giving me balayage, he gave me yellow highlights. See attached photos. They werenāt even, huge patches showed, and my grays still showed. After I left the salon I was in tears. And shock. I couldnāt believe he not only gave me something completely different, but he messed up my hair. A service I spent $415 on. When I contacted him to tell him I needed it fixed, he told me a ā5 minute toner would fix it.ā We discussed this back and forth and he wouldnāt listen to me. A toner would be a bandaid fix if that. Not to mention a big commute I had to make. Total waste of my time. So then I contacted the manager. Selena. She wasnāt rude, but she said sheād call me back several times and didnāt. Which forced me to follow up and resulted in more frustration. Then she told me I needed to contact the owner āTonyā on Instagram on the salons account. To send him photos of what I wanted done and what was done. So I did. No response. I followed up more firmly and said I wanted him to call me. So he did. After explaining it, he agreed, seemed understanding and said TWICE on the phone that he was going to call the manager at the salon and have them refund me. Hours passed. No call. I then called the salon. The manager then proceeded to tell me that Lexington wanted to talk with me over the phone the next day. Like what?! Absolutely not. I told her I spoke to the owner and he said heād refund me. So she said sheād call the owner and call me back. She didnāt. I then wrote the owner AGAIN on Instagram expressing the unprofessionalism and round about communication that was happening and how upsetting this was. He then tells me he canāt refund me because Lexingtonās story is completely different from mine. WHAT A JOKE. The manager & owner clearly donāt know how to resolve issues. And they side with their stylists over a happy customer. Needless to say, my bank refunded me the money. And lesson learned on my part. Iāll never go to an egotistical stylist again who canāt even own their mistakes and listen to their client to find a happy compromise. I had never been charged that much before and it is insane especially when your hair isnāt done correctly. I went in for a full head of white blonde highlights and left with grey/ brown hair. I was so upset about my appearance and all that money. I didnāt want to complain or ask her for help, but I had no choice. I contacted her and she said to come in for a toner. I went in at the instructed date and time and she was triple booked. She barely spoke or helped me. She just had her assistant put toner on my hair which she said would easily fix it. I couldnāt tell if it was fixed because it was wet and she said she couldnāt blow dry it or she would have to charge me. She dried one piece right in the front. I couldnāt really tell. It looked lighter and trusted her judgement. Wow was I wrong to do that. When it dried it was literally bright yellow and orange. Pictures do not show how bad it was. I am literally embarrassed to leave the house or be seen. I have added pictures of when it was turned brown/ grey and when it turned yellow. Lexi responded to my crazy text the same day I texted her (as a brand new client) and got me in the same day. I was in a total hair crisis and had just spent money on my hair somewhere else a few says ago. Lexi took time and listened to what I wanted and evaluated how my hair was and how ājacked upā it was from this other place I tried out (partly because she had decent prices and a friend recommended her). Lexi blended out all of my bleeding highlights by the roots and gave me a gorgeous and natural looking blonde! Thank you Rosie too for helping with my massacre of a botch job. Lexi and Rosie spent time like to the tune of 3 hours with me because Lexi pays attention to detail and wouldnāt let me leave not liking my hair. Even though there was only sooooo much she could do given my circumstances. I can not wait to come back in a few months so Lexi can begin working on my balayage that I have only dreamed of this far. I think the prices are totally fair because Lexi genuinely cares about your hair and takes the time to get you what you want.
