A beautiful find in the heart of downtown Orlando. This park on the shore of Lake Ivanhoe is a nice place to visit in the evening. There is a small play are for children, a big deck on the lake and a nice grassy area for picnics. Across the street you will find a German bakery with delicious varieties of German breads, pastries and other goodies. The potato salad is delicious. There are bars, restaurants and my favorite record store Rock and roll heaven. Read moreThis is a nice park. Just north of the mainstream downtown. It has a dock and a boat ramp and even a restaurant. And just across the street are some eclectic specialty places.
It is noisy at this park because of the traffic on the newly completed I-4 expansion. And the train tracks on the other side. Sadly there are some obnoxious truck drivers using their Jake brakes as they pass and then the annoying cars without mufflers making as much noise as they can 😖
But don't let that discourage you from visiting the area. There's even a couple of exercise spots.

Read moreI use the fitness equipment in this park regularly. It's nicely spaced out for a quick jog between stations. I think it's called the Energi system. It's the nicest, easiest park workout equipment that I've encountered.
It's a lovely urban park that attracts a variety of different people. You'll find people walking dogs, having picnics, reading, working out, playing volleyball, and participating in water sports.
There are restaurants and shops that line the park on the other side of the street so it makes for great people watching, and last minute...
