Ta-Ke Sushi and Grill — Restaurant in Orlando

Well, tbh! I never had the experience to try the food but the service was pretty bad from the beginning. Walking in I noticed 3 two tops outside and a 3 top inside that hadn't been served yet. The restaurant wasn't that busy.

Anyways; we walked in- And were immediately greated with a super abrasive- "GO OUTSIDE" - we followed instructions- waited patiently and watched another table attempt to go inside- I knew it wasn't my place to say anything, but I waited to see if they got the same treatment - they did as they also walked out immediately with that look or "OMG" anyways we were finally seated - the waiter told us he needed 5 minutes- we were ok with that as he continued to seat the other table.

We waited 15 minutes as he ran taking orders and gossiping at the desk and taking the other table that sat after us order and bringing their drinks out. - I said nothing but decided to leave - he actually has the audacity to yell at me as I walked out because I refused to wait even to be acknowledged - rude - SUPER RUDE - yelling at me as I leave after you blanltey ignore me - I think not - not today - not never- customer service always trumps even bad food- but a bad attitude of a server is the worst- the owners need to have a serious training session with...

There was quite a big variety of sushi to choose from which is what we were after. As a party of two we each ordered three different types of sushi. I think the presentation was decently done and the taste was about average. Nothing really exceptional. The service was also about average. The restaurant was very small in fact a bit too small because the moment people started talking it was like being in a crowded cafeteria. The decor of the restaurant itself was honestly the best thing about the whole experience. What I will say though stood out and honestly is what hinders this restaurant from receiving my recommendation was the extremely long wait time for the food. We waited about an hour and 10 minutes for our food. We even heard one of the patrons get told that their order was going to have to be cancelled because it would take them too long to catch up. This was after they had been seated and were waiting for at least 15 minutes. All in all the food was not worth the wait especially since it was average at best and unless they hire another chef to help prevent the long wait I would not recommend...

I got lunch here today and I really enjoyed it. The place is quaint and has kind of a mom and pop shop feel, the server/hostess was really welcoming and pleasant and cute, and the food was exactly right for the right price. Got a sushi lunch special and the portions were generous enough to get me legit full (and I am a fairly big long haired viking looking less attractive jason momoa kind of a dude) and the sushi was good quality considering the price and quantity. There's some weird calculus to it I'm sure, like price + quality + quantity = good deal. I know some spots where I can get higher quality sushi, but you'd get less than half for almost double the price. Here, you're getting pretty good sushi, and a lot of it, for a reasonable price. It's good stuff. Polish it off with a nice cheap sake, get yourself that hits-the-spot sushi lunch without paying through the nose for it. Very cool spot.
