So I hosted my wedding block here. I spoke through email and on the phone with...someone, I really don't remember his name, however he was patient with me and set everything up. I requested 2 rooms that were the oversized king rooms. My family had 0 problem setting anything up. They all checked in early though which put them at different floors than me which was a bummer but not a deal breaker. Valet was always on point and responsive. They were truly awesome. Front desk, upon my check-in the girl kind of did not explain slow enough to me that the charge was the total price plus the downpayment of $50 a night, I figured it was just the $50 a night going onto my card, because she said i could change it to another card later. This I think was miscommunication on both of our parts because I was in a rush to check-in. Either way, it was fixed. but she kept asking me which room I wanted, but when booking the hotel block I specifically NEEDED the oversize king, and needed fresh bedding and no feather pillows so I did not understand that part of it. It was really confusing and unnecessary. So I went upstairs to my room and the door wouldn't open, completely dead. I go back downstairs and let the man know and he walked up with me just incase it was me, and not the door. Maintenance was called and we waited for a bit. They came with a attitude asking about the other door (apparently i had 2 doors). So I walked around opening all the doors to see what they were and accidentally locked the working door. As I left, the maintenance worker HAD to tell me "um, you know you locked the only working door? why did you do that?" Seriously?! I'm late for my rehearsal dinner and you're going to scold me like a child? I did not like that at all. The bar tender wasn't as pleasant either. But my family was VERY excited to be there but kept making jokes about how tiny the chicken wings were (they were comically small for the price) so, maybe she overheard and took offense. I'm unsure. However, the day and morning of my wedding was amazing. Went to the little Starbucks area and the girl was SO nice. Told me I needed to eat something for the big day, talked to me about it and everything. Seriously, so sweet. Then all my vendors parked with no problems, and got room keys so I did not have to escort them up and down the elevator. THAT truly was amazing. When we got back from our wedding the desk staff clapped for us. It was honestly so special to me and that touch was nice. THEN in our room was a champagne bottle with 2 glasses and a card signed by staff. 10/10. That was exactly why we picked this hotel, luxury, being treated kindly.
My view was gorgeous. The bed was clean and comfortable, the shower was nice and hot with amazing water pressure. The furniture was new and nice looking. Just so so worth the money. I just stayed at another hotel for our small honeymoon before our big one and it was TERRIBLE. This proves the only place I will stay from now on especially for our real honeymoon next year will be doubletree hotels. Thank you so much for everything and providing a top of the line...

I was hoping to end year 2022 on high note as far hotel experiences are concerned but it wasn’t the case and it turns out to be worst for the year.
Upon check in, Agent informed me that there is not going to be any housekeeping services for duration of our stay (three nights) will provide towels and remove garbage upon request only.
This was totally unacceptable for me as I paid about $160 a night and wanted my room to be clean everyday.
I told Agent that this information wasn’t available to me while making reservation either on Double Tree website or through Expedia, he replied that you can go to other hotel because this is the policy and they are not going to change for me. Very rude
For Double Tree, to not provide essential services and replacing them with two cookies and water bottles at check in time are totally unacceptable and cash grab from there customers.
If this is the cooperate policy then mention clearly in on your website as it’s is mentioned about no parking and no breakfast.
Paying customers should decide about the service they want to get while making reservation and not at the check in time as it’s already too late to change or cancel reservation.
So basically it’s staying at Air BNB but paying 75% more. At least with Air BNB parking is not extra.
Most of the hotel chains have started this policy to save on labour cost by screwing their customers.
Marriott Resident Inn provide service at every 2nd day and also don’t mention this on the website or 3rd party websites.
Hotel itself was not worth the price. Everything is dark from lobby to hallway to rooms. Almost black carpet in the room. Worn out sofas in the lobby and empty restaurant.
Saw housekeeping staff putting all dirty laundry outside of each room ( see two pictures attached) which give very unhygienic feeling.
Hallway not vacuumed even one day during our there days stay there.
Lady at the checkout was friendly.
In future I will stay away not only from Double Tree but all Hilton brand. This is cooperate greed at the highest level.
I am not blaming the hotel staff whatsoever, they are following whatever instructions are coming from head office.
Parking not included Breakfast not included Housekeeping services not included Cleaning not included, but don’t worry two cookies and two bottles of water will replace everything.
Stay away from this brand. Protest against cooperate greed. Time is not far when hotel guest will have to do everything for them just as checking out our own...
Read moreIt's days like these that I wish there was a zero star option. I stayed with my family for what was thankfully only a single night, or I'm sure I would have been driven to insanity by the veritable warehouse of mold and mildew that must be living in the walls and carpeting of this place. The whole room smelled damp and sickly, and the stench and feeling carried over to the bedsheets, which felt cold and damp, and I suspect have not been properly cleaned since the hotel's construction. We saw not a single cleaning person walking around while we were there, and it is evident in the state of their accommodations.
If the quality of the rooms wasn't bad enough, having the displeasure to engage with their staff compounds the miserable experience. The front desk is an unattended ghost town half the time, but whenever you are unfortunate enough to speak with a staff member, it becomes clear that the place is being staffed by apathetic, ill-mannered individuals who have no business working in the service profession, or perhaps in any profession involving other human beings.
Most egregiously, we payed extra for an option that allegedly included breakfast, only to arrive this morning to eat and be told that our room had no such option. The young man at the restaurant foisted us off on the front desk to verify this, and we were first told once again that there was no breakfast option under our reservation. When we showed the lady at the front desk that we did, in fact, have breakfast included, she quickly amended to say that it was for "up to two adults," despite the fact that the online reservation (made directly with the hotel's website, mind you) said no such thing and had clearly been booked for three adults. Throughout this entire interaction, she was sour-faced, apathetic, and condescending. I regret not having gotten her name so I can warn any others who have to contend with her, but it happened around 8 AM today, in case there is an actual manager lurking somewhere in this dump who would like to attempt to whip their staff into shape.
I have stayed at several Doubletree hotels in my life, and it is frankly an embarrassment that this place is associated with the name. The single positive is its location downtown near concert venues, but it would frankly be easier to force yourself to navigate half an hour of Orlando traffic instead of subjecting yourself to staying in this liminal, twilight-zone style ghastly building. I have had more pleasant experiences couch-surfing...
