I was surprised by the lack of customer associates at the front of the store (2846 South Orange Avenue), when I walked in. I purchased a printer cartridge online and arrived to pick it up. Upon entering, I looked to my left at the checkout counter. No one was stationed there and a sign stated, "Checkout at Print Center".
I went to the Print Center, stood in line for several minutes, and took a picture of the entire area when a gentleman asked if I was being helped. I turned around to see TWO MORE customers in line behind him. I said loudly enough for all to hear, "I've been standing here for almost 5 minutes and no one has come around." Shortly thereafter, Brianna came up to ask what I needed. She apologized and said "I don't know where my four other associates are at." She had me go back to the regular checkout counter and retrieved my purchase from the cabinet. While waiting to complete the checkout process, two more associates came up, one pushing a cart with another customer's item, and the other walking beside her laughing and talking and having a good 'ol time. (Why you needed two associates to attend to one customer, plus leaving the checkout counter unmanned with a line of customers waiting is unfathomable. Where was the manager on duty?!)
I thanked Brianna for assisting me with the checkout and began to leave. I then noticed the "Pickup station" nestled between a rack and a stack of shopping baskets at the entrance. I suggest that station needs to be more visible to people entering the store, especially when no one is monitoring the checkout counter. I might have gotten faster service (as well as the three customers behind me) if it was more out in the open.
NOTE: see the responses on previous one-star reviews where (Corporate?) management has a "canned response" asking the reviewer to send an email with additional information so they can "help". Why can't they just deal with it from the information in this review as well as other recent reviews? I believe I provided sufficient information that they could resolve this issue if they truly wanted to (similar to other one-star reviews). I just think this lack of management initiative speaks volumes on how the entire organization...
Read more2-9-2020 Went this afternoon to print a couple of items. Customer service went downhill quickly. I let them know I needed a work station to open a pdf to edit and print and Martha told me she was too busy to assist me and had too many other jobs she had to get to so I should go to the printer and I could do it there. Meanwhile there were at least 2 workstations available she just could not be bothered to set it up. When I got to the the printer and opened it up I was not able to edit it. Went up to inquire again and there were 3 people waiting for help and instead of acknowledging them to let them know she would be a few more minutes Martha just had them standing there twiddling their thumbs. I then went to get someone to help cancel since I wasn't sure if it would charge me a minimum. When the store manager came to help I explained they needed better customer service and additional people in the print area if Martha is so busy with other stuff she can't help anyone. Manager did not even acknowledge that statement. No apologies or even an excuse. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. 1-25-2020 Really only come here to make copy's and print stuff. Have no idea if the prices are good or not. My wife always does it. The store is always clean as well as the bathroom. Water fountain looked like it could use some cleaning thou. Staff is friendly and helpful. Seems like they have a ton of options...

When I was walking up to the store, I noticed an employee helping a lady put items she purchased into her car and I heard him say to her, you welcome and have a nice day. This stood out to me because great customer service is hard to come by these days. I stood in line as he was helping another customer. I overheard their conversation. It seemed as though the customer was a bit confused regarding her return, but he was very thorough in communicating the return process and reassuring her that everything was okay and returned to her card. The lady was very appreciative and said he was great and would be giving him a review. She even expressed to the other people in line how great he was in helping her. So, I was next in line and I received the same amazing customer service. I would like to acknowledge the excellent customer service I received from David Darling. He needs to be recognized for the outstanding customer service he provides to his customers. Too often we are quick to point out the poor customer service we receive and fail to acknowledge the service that goes above and beyond what is expected.
