Mid-Cape Home Centers — Attraction in Orleans

We had a great experience with the home design center at Mid-Cape in Orleans. We worked with Ellen who is the most patient person we have ever met. She helped us design our kitchen remodel and helped us pick our countertop and cabinets. Ellen was very tuned into what we were looking for and she had a very gentle way of making suggestions and showing us options. No matter how many times we changed the design of our kitchen or our hardware on the cabinets, she cheerfully made the changes to be sure we were getting what we really wanted. Ellen even tracked down matching stone drawer pulls for me and never acted like I was crazy. We were so glad to have worked with Ellen; she really made this experience go smoothly...

We showed up at 4:12 PM on 4/29/25 to pick up 6x6 beams, paid for them, proceeded to drive out back to retrieve them only to find the gate closed. We explained to the worker we drove 1 1/2 hrs. down to get them. Told us lumber yard closes at 4:15 and to come back tomorrow. I said that we already had paid! Went back inside to get a refund only to find the WORST ATTITUDE AND RUDE EMPLOYEES I have ever seen. No advance warning whatsoever that the yard closes early. So sad that this is how a company treats members of the public. I have done business with Eastham Hardware and the respect and support they provide is the best I have ever had. Will never recommend Mid Cape...

I walked into this Mid-Cape Home Centers location while in the middle of an awful renovation process (original contractor lied about permits and more!) Everyone at the center was SO incredibly helpful. I was helped by Colleen in particular and she was so patient, helpful, and kind. The selection and service was excellent and I had a wonderful experience in that short visit.

I was clearly stressed and she sent me off with a delightful bag of tea in addition to my counter top samples. Left me feeling much calmer and better about my project going forward. She immediately followed up with an email of everything we'd talked about and stayed in touch....
