Batteries Plus — Attraction in Oshkosh

When i walked in to the store, the manager did not meet me with good customer service, in fact he was a bit rude. My vehicle battery was dead. I only got there because I had a jump to start the vehicle. He persistently told me that it was my fault and why it was my fault. He pretty much told me it wasn't due to cold weather. He worked on my vehicle for a while, without coming in to warm up like I told him to do. A new customer showed up and I told him he could wait on him. He snapped back stating it was first come first service. In any other situation that would have been fine, but with the weather, I would have preferred him to check out the kind gentleman at the counter. When he went to finally help the customer, the poor man had a dead battery that he bought in Dec 2024. He argued with the man about how it wasn't the batteries fault, but the man's fault and refused to uphold the battery warranty and tried charging the man for a new battery. All in all, customer service was very shortcoming. I have never had such a bad experience there. Not impressed at all. This past Monday Batteries Plus Bulbs saved our day. And the young lady, Beret that works there is one of the best customer service persons my husband & I have had the pleasure to help us out in dire strates. We called Batteries about 7:57 pm. Beret answered. We asked how long the store was open. She explained they close at 8pm. Our van's battery was dead. We explained our problem & issues. Beret was so sweet. She said she would stay open if we got to the store shortly. And we did. She was so helpful. Above & beyond. Beret got the tools out & also tried installing the battery. She called her boss. Super friendly, fast service. Everything about the transaction was pleasant and accurate which becomes rare now a days. Internet ordering was fast and convenient and the speed of it being ready was much appreciated. Plus, I love the 20% off for ordering online. I paid about $100 for a SUV battery. The order was ready in under an hour (email prompts very fast!) and the (free) install and disposal was a breeze.

The associate took great care installing my battery. He seemed very comfortable with what he was doing and left no damage. Top notch friendly service the entire time.
