Attending the Silent Book Club event at Fox Valley Winery was an absolute delight. As someone who values silence while reading but enjoys the company of fellow book lovers, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Initially, I was a bit apprehensive about reading in a public setting among strangers, but the experience turned out to be truly memorable.
The event was exceptionally well organized, creating the perfect balance between social connection and personal reading time. The winery itself provided a warm and inviting atmosphere, with soft music playing in the background—just enough to add to the ambiance without being distracting. Their selection of wines was fantastic, and I thoroughly enjoyed indulging in a delicious bottle while immersing myself in my book.
Beyond the reading experience, the winery had a charming array of decorative items available for purchase, adding to the cozy, intimate feel of the evening. It was the kind of event that made me appreciate the simple joys of a good book, a great glass of wine, and a welcoming space to enjoy them both. I’ll definitely be returning for another Silent Book Club gathering at Fox...
Read moreI had a very disappointing experience at this wine store. The owner, Mike, l was incredibly rude when there was a mistake in the total amount I owed. Instead of calmly figuring it out, he got defensive and started blaming me, even though it was clear he was the one who miscalculated. His attitude made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. A basic ability to add prices correctly—and treat customers with respect when there’s a mistake—should be the bare minimum in any business. I won’t be returning and don’t recommend this place to anyone who values good service. Also, I cancelled my membership! Seems like I wasn’t the member they wanted in the first place.
Even with your response is negative, I was overcharged and I tried explaining multiple times. You charged me $50 for 2 bottles of wine which are only $18 a bottle. and refunded me back $$3.90 which should have been $19. Then you put the $3.90 on the counter when I had my hand out(VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL) and walked off. Instead of me going back and forth with you about how that was wrong I left because I felt that you were starting to get angry and...
Read moreNever in my life have I been to a winery or any establishment and was treated so rudely. I was here recently for a small vendor show and the lady at the counter named Karen treated us like garbage. First, I asked politely if they have a WiFi password we could use for online order and so on. She scoffed at me and told me no. Okay that's fine. I then asked if they had strawberry wine because I my husband and I purchased a bottle from what I thought was them at Wine on the Fox. She states, "nope wasn't us" and rudely rolled her eyes and stated "never have we ever had that product". Okay got it. Later once my table was all set up and the event was started she stomps in and screams at us because apparently the table I had set up was blocking the fire exit and we need to move it immediately. If it was a fire exit then she should be fined because it was not clearly marked and no panic bar was installed. Maybe a call to the fire Marshall is in order. Never again will I give my money to this facility. Karen is a rude and angry person for no reason. Buyers beware. Buy your wine from some place else that treats you...
