Nestled in the heart of Oswego since 1996, this family-owned gem serves up classic breakfast and lunch with a side of nostalgia. 💕 Dive into their fresh baked biscuits and gravy, a dish that comforts the soul and delights the palate. And if breakfast fare is your jam, Oswego Family Restaurant is your go-to spot from dawn till afternoon! 🍽️ ✨🫐 Special Highlight: The Blueberry sensation. Choose between 2 pancakes or French toast, each topped with a homemade blueberry lemon compote that's divine. It's a must-try for anyone who loves a sweet start to their day! 🫐 ✨ For those midday cravings, explore their menu of hearty burgers, sandwiches, and more. From the classic Reuben to gyro-style delights, loaded hoagies, and the iconic tuna melt, there's a flavor for every foodie. 🍔 🥪

This place is great! It's cash only, so come prepared. If there was such a thing as a breakfast dive bar this would be it. They still use an old school cash register, the decor is very dated and charming, complete with barber pole and an old bike hanging from the ceiling. The service was very friendly, it is the kind of place with a large repeat customer base to the point where they know your name and you know theirs. The food was great, some of the best breakfast food I have had. If I had one complaint it's that there is not a ton of seating. Maybe 12 to 15 booths and 4 to 5 tables. All in all, one of my favorite breakfast places around. Check it out you won't be disappointed.

This hidden little gem in downtown Oswego has all you can want to get your day started! Cash Only - no biggie. I asked, " Tell me about the stuffed hashbrowns?" Once Candy started to tell me about them, I ordered the Country Fried Steak stuffed hashbrowns before she could finish. Ya'll - they put it + veggies and cheese in the middle of your hash! Everything is made from scratch in the kitchen, and you can taste it - especially the biscuits and gravy! Also, there is no feeling like Mr. Pink in here- I must have had my coffee filled 6-7 times by multiple staff members. A quaint little spot where we felt like family, and we will definitely be back.

I visited the restaurant on fathers day since it was highly rated and I was not impressed. In fact I wish I had eaten at home. The first issue was that once we sat down we still had over a 15 minute wait to get served from the time we placed our order. The downtown is nice, I would much rather have been outside waiting. The second issue is that the coffee was terrible. I do drink very good coffee so I wasn't expecting too be blown away but keep in mind there are signs everywhere for "We serve intelligentsia..." it was a big let down. How do you screw up good coffee? Skimp on the grounds. If it was too strong i could have added water. Is there an intelligentsia police? On the plus side the coffee got returned no charge and no attitude but still... breakfast without coffee is a bad start to the day. Other things to consider... Pancakes were very hard to cut, even for adults reaching across the table... nobody smiled except the cashier, and the place is cash only. My fault on that one since there was a big enough sign at the front counter but it was not pleasant driving to a local bank to get money.

I will say that others didn't have issue with the coffee which baffles me and they seemed to be enjoying the food so maybe I'm expecting too much for a...

Just left with my three small children and it was absolutely terrible from beginning to end. The welcome committee and waitress were both very slow from the start and it took almost an HOUR to receive our very small order. Two child pancake orders and one waffle. Food finally arrived and we had no syrup so I asked for it only for our waitress to come back and give the table next to us their drinks, glance over and us and remember "Oh yeah, syrup!". Once our food arrives, My four year old decided that being well behaved for an hour was long enough so now he wants to leave. My other two children are finished eating and ready to leave so I walk up to pay and as I have over my card I am told "We only accept cash or check". Frustration rises. I ask where their ATM is and THEY DO NOT HAVE ONE. Silly me to have asked them, right? So I have to run down the street to Oswego Inn to use their ATM. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I do not refer this...

I went on a Sunday at noon and we were told they are not serving tables anymore even though they close at 1 on Sunday’s. I had called before hand asking about their payment policy and they did not mention to me that they stopped waiting tables at noon. I believe that this was racial motivated, the hostess was white and everybody else in the restaurant was white. When the hostess saw that we were of color, she quickly proceeded to walk us out. There were plenty of seats in the restaurant, she simply did not want to attend us. This behavior seems consistent with other patrons who had similar experiences of not feeling welcomed. Be wary of this place if you are white. I will be reporting to Better Business of Bureau and the Oswego Chamber of Commerce. Other negative reviews received a replied from the restaurant, however, those that mentioned race and color did not often receive a reply from...
