113 Main in Oswego is nothing short of exceptional, and every time I dine here, it continues to impress. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is welcoming and sophisticated, yet it still feels comfortable and unpretentious. The décor strikes the perfect balance between modern elegance and cozy warmth, making it ideal for anything from a casual dinner to a special celebration.
What really sets 113 Main apart is the impeccable service. The staff is not only friendly and attentive, but they’re also knowledgeable about the menu and drink options. They’re always willing to offer recommendations, and it’s clear they take pride in making sure every guest has a memorable experience. Whether you’re a regular or it’s your first time visiting, you’re treated like family.
Now, on to the food—113 Main offers a diverse menu that manages to be both creative and comforting. Every dish is crafted with care, using fresh, high-quality ingredients. Their steaks are always perfectly cooked to your preference, tender, and full of flavor, while the seafood is fresh and prepared to perfection. One of my personal favorites is their array of appetizers, which offer a unique and flavorful start to any meal. The portions are generous, but the attention to detail in every bite is what really stands out.
The drink menu is just as impressive as the food. Whether you’re in the mood for a craft cocktail, a classic glass of wine, or one of their well-chosen beers, 113 Main has something for every palate. The bartenders are true professionals, crafting each drink with precision and care. I always enjoy trying their seasonal cocktails, which are inventive and balanced. The staff can recommend the perfect pairing to complement your meal, enhancing the overall dining experience.
One of the things I appreciate most about 113 Main is the consistency. Every time I visit, I know I’m going to receive the same high level of service, delicious food, and inviting ambiance. The attention to detail, both in the kitchen and in the dining room, is what keeps me coming back time and time again.
In short, 113 Main is more than just a restaurant—it’s an experience. Whether you’re there for a romantic dinner, a family gathering, or simply a night out with friends, it offers the perfect setting. I can’t recommend 113 Main enough to anyone looking for a top-tier dining experience in Oswego. From the warm service to the outstanding food and drink, everything about this place...
Read moreI really want to like this restaurant but there is too wide of a gap right now to recommend them. Perhaps they'll turn it around.
We've eaten at this restaurant twice and ordered takeout twice in the course of 5 weeks.
Pro's - The drinks and beer selection are very good (best in this area). The food is unique to other local offerings and tastes great when you can get it still warm. Service while eating in is very good at times.
Con's - This restaurant is super loud inside. The decibel meter on my phone averaged 89dB (Subway) over 10 minutes and peaked at 107.9dB (chainsaw). Sounds above 85dB are harmful. The temp inside is inconsistent, we have been cold and perfectly comfortable on two separate occasions. Service can start out great and become increasingly inattentive as the activity in the restaurant picks-up. To the point where we needed to ask other employees twice over a 10 minute period if they could get our server. Order accuracy leaves allot to be desired. This restaurant is only running at 50% to get our orders right. Not fun waiting for your spouse's order to get fixed and sitting at the table with food in front of you that you know will be nice and room temperature when the other meal is corrected. Takeout is beyond frustrating. 1st takeout order - They should not have curbside pickup if they cannot bring the order out to the car while it is still warm. After checking-in a couple minutes early with the hostess and waiting 15 minutes after my order was supposed to be ready I went in and there it was sitting on the bench. Cold soggy buns and French fries but worst of all, who wants to eat cold mussels? 2nd takeout order - We decide to go in and pick it up. It's was ready - YEAH! Get home and one of the four meals is missing. So 3 of us get to eat re-heated restaurant food after waiting for the missing meal to be made and going to pick it up. If this was $10 bar food ya-know, hey, whatever... It isn't ten dollar bar food. If you spend over a hundred bucks for 4 takeout orders (inclusive of a 20% takeout tip) I think you should be able to expect a little more...
Read moreOn 2/18, my "brother from another" and I had our server/bartender pick appetizers for us and she chose wisely. Mussels were really good but I would have preferred a thicker sauce, but that's just me. The Short Rib Pouting was so good and could be a meal on its own. The Steamed Buns were not what I expected, not sure what I was expecting, but I was very pleased. Presentation of the appetizers was great!
We split the Lobster and Crab cake sandwich and the Ribeye Steak sandwich with Truffle Fries (not my thing but good) and Coleslaw. Both sandwiches were good sized and looked amazing. The Lobster and Crab cake was, for me, the perfect amount of flavor from the cake, sauce, and toppings. Nothing over powered anything else in the sandwich. Great balance! The Ribeye was cooked perfectly, for me, tender and juicy. Great sandwich on its own but some might want to add something to give it a kick. I'm an A-1 lover and get steak just so I can have some. Having said that,, this sandwich didn't need it.
We asked the bartender to choose drinks as well, again, she didn't disappoint. Great balance of alcohol and mixers to give six different cocktals we had the flavor one would expect. She hit the sweet spot. Not too strong to make it difficult to drink and not to weak to disappoint.
They also had live music and he was really good. Hope they book him again.
Don't want to leave out the other bartender. He was super friendly and also did a great job, wrong gender. Hope you understand.
We will return and others should check...
