Hudson Crossing Park — Attraction in Oswego Township

Decided to take advantage of the great weather and do some self care. This little gem is in the downtown of Oswego along the Fox River. There is a nice bike path and a walking path. Plenty of park benches along the way in all areas (sunny, shaded, near, and away from water). There are plenty of great views, flowers, and a dedication area for war veterans that has a mini water fall with an eternal flame behind it. There are 2 sitting areas where you can sit and play chess or checkers. Parking is ample and is literally so close to the water. There is a cute park for the kids as well as grills around the bench tables in the picnic area. You can even sit in your car and still see the river. I have taken the children here many times. I love that there is a brick boarder around almost the whole park. You can allow the children to without worrying if they can wonder off some place. It is large and has different play items in different locations to allow the children different things to do. There is a small sand box, which is one of very few I have found that is located in a shades area, there is a water mist sprayer for hot days and although I don't like porta potties it much better than no bathroom at all when you have children with you. It's also located within walking distance to the library if the porta potty is not for you also. The children love starting our day at this park and then heading to the library to read a good book on a hot day. Overall, we love it. You can also do a picnic lunch and go for a nice walk...

Super disappointed with the renovated playground, thought we would see something a lot nicer like wolf crossing or Plainfield playground for all age group or at least something similar, but all we got is something that's between age 3-7... with all the property taxes we pay each year, is this all we got??? Absolutely we deserve a lot better than this cheap updates and where is the indoor swimming pool?? The facility at civic center is also old??
