1st time in this establishment I had a good experience. One of the owners was working at the time I came in a I was looking to trade in some Pokémon cards. He was out of cash so he offered me in store credit or cash another day. He was friendly and knowledgeable. Had good conversation with him. Nowwwww the second time I go in to go get my cash or credit. There is another gentlemen working. When I walked up to him he was glued to his phone. Didn’t say welcome or any normal customer service intro that’s really easy and makes a place go from 0-100 real quick. When I asked him about my credit he looked at me like I was a stupid. He didn’t let go of his phone when I said it’s a problem that he had no option for me at that momment. Store has my cards. At this point I feel like I got robbed. The only reason I’m giving 2 stars and not 1 is because the owner was actually cool. But I’m not sure if this is how they do buisness or not so I’m excited to hear back what they have to say. This is how the convo with the second guy went “Hey I was trying to revive my credit on some cards I traded the other day. The owner didn’t have cash at the time” Guy:shrugs his shoulders “I don’t have any cash” Me:”well can I have my cards back? Him: “no” Me: “well that’s a problem what can we do?” Him:”nothing” The whole time this man was on his phone like he did NOT want to be there. I could tell he doesn’t value his job and this frustration of me coming all the way to this place to have that kind of response is completely unwarranted and unreasonable. He didn’t even look at my information on the PC and NEVER TOOK HIS EYES OFF HIS PHONE. WHAT IS SO IMPORTANT OTHER THEN HELPING A CUSTOMER WITH A REAL PROBLEM. Went over the weekend and would not recommend this place at all. The employee that was there was teaching how to play WarHammer, was not welcoming or professional. I asked to see two cards that I was bey interested in buying but he said that one of them was “H.P.” as in heavily played. I asked how heavily played it was, he gave a very condescending response of “that’s just how we label it.” Which didn’t answer my question at all. Then when I wanted to take a look at the second card, I asked if I could hold it and pull it out of the sleeve that it was in because I wanted to be respectful of the business and the card he said no but then just kidding afterwards. But what bothered me the most was when I was making a real effort to be gentle with the card, he then proceeded to grab the card and bend it forward and back to prove his point that the cards integrity will still hold up even after bending it. But there was nothing to prove I just wanted to be mindful. At that point I didn’t want anything to do with him or the business at all so I decided to leave. He literally drove a customer who was ready to make some purchases out of the store with his attitude, actions and unnecessary sarcasm. Was a true support of this small shop since they opened. Loved the variety and thought it was great to see such an awesome place open up locally. Having now seen that they are now raising prices only to match what scalpers are doing online has completey disheartened me. You've gone to a new low to try and keep things "competitive" when in reality you're just taking advantage of an already hostile situation. You could have made items one per customer and kept them in store and kept hope up for the kids trying to collect. But all you've done is become no better than those taking all the products off big box store shelves and sell them online. You're not helping the community, you're hurting it. And because of your choices I won't be repping the shirt I got from you guys and will never return to your shop and will encourage others not to...
