Nash Vegas Saloon — Restaurant in Oswego Township

Stopped in tonight, was surprised there was a $5 cover but it’s a band tonight so that’s fine actually, was just surprised and doorman acted like it should’ve been obvious / everyone knows….

Atmosphere is cool, service was great!

Food was decent. My fries were excellent (saw they were undercooked on a previous review). I also ordered the chicken tenders and they were ok- they would be so so much better if they actually trimmed / cut the chicken breast before dragging it in flour. It was literally 3 full breaded chicken breasts. Breading was good, but it would have been 100% better all around as 6-9 strips. So enough food, but could be made better by spending 30 more seconds on the prep. I also ordered an extra side of fries, portion side was generous!

The place attracts a crowd, however the bar service is slow and not friendly or customer focused. At 11pm on a Saturday, we were passed up by 3 of the 4 ladies behind the bar, despite us being 3 ladies waiting to order drinks. We had to get men from our group to gather their attention to order drinks. It was quite frustrating to wait 30 mins to get drinks, and to not be acknowledged the entire time by the 4 bartenders. A simple “Hi, I’ll be with you in a moment” would have helped appease the wait time. A woman next to us ,with a drink in hand, affirmed “it takes a while,” when a bartender smirked and shook her head with no eye contact after I raised my hand and said “excuse me ma’am” to catch her attention. Veteran to veteran, this service could be better and your bartenders could make more in tips if they moved with a sense of urgency and acknowledged those who they are serving, even if they can’t get to them right away. Came to Oswego over the holidays and wanted a place to get together with friends. My sister recommended this place and it did not disappoint. The server, Bree was extremely attentive to our needs which was a heavy ask seeing there were over 20 of us. The food was really great; Definitely not just typical bar food. The breaded chicken nuggets were delicious and plentiful. The crinkle fries were splendid and we tried every app on the menu. The carnitas quesadilla is a must try. Some people line danced, most mingled and the owners were absolutely marvelous. It's been awhile since we have had such great people in an establishment stop by and truly care about how we were enjoying ourselves, let alone THE OWNERS. It is a cool concept and being from Nashville it was cool to see this in IL. Great job to everyone who made our Xmas get together at Nash Vegas saloon so amazing!!!
