Dollar General — Attraction in Owosso

This store always gets better in the winter when other employees come from other stores to help with the holidays. And to be honest, idk if the newer employees were just extra help for that reason or if they are permanent employees, but hopefully, the latter because this location got better with the new additions. Recently, I was here to deposit cash to cash app, and the self checkout was open, but I needed an employee for this transaction, so I went to a cash register with a person. There was no one in line, but an older lady got behind me and started putting all of her stuff on the counter out of her cart. This doesn't bother me with anyone, especially at Dollar General, because it's normal and not a big deal. But then she incessantly complained about my transaction taking too long. And she got progressively more and more angry. The dude behind the counter couldn't ignore it any longer, as I doubt anyone could have. But he handled it perfectly, and not in a rude way, and there just was no talking sense to this lady. In the middle of him apologizing to her, when truthfully, this guy deserved the apology, she stormed out red-faced and full of crazy anger. I will never understand how something like that could make someone so angry. This event just stuck out in my mind so I felt like it was relevant to a review. Any store with employees with integrity makes that store better among stores. And as dollar generals go, this...

I understand Dollar General is a place for low life losers to work but my return experience was absurd. I was next in line and mentioned I had a return and the lady said nothing to me, realized she didn’t know how to do a return and asked someone else but they messed it up and froze the register. Still haven’t said a word to me, continuing to talk with the lady she asked to help her throwing out F-bombs every other word. 10 minutes go by i’m still waiting not a word said to me, the line was getting close to the back of the store and finally she yelled at someone to open up another register and walked over to the other one and you guessed it still haven’t spoken to me. I walk over to the other register and say another 15 minutes. The ladies working today were just sitting in the back office gossiping instead of assisting the only lady up front with the long line. This place is right by my house so you think it would be convenient for me. But every time I go there, they are out of half of the stuff they normally stock. Like milk, dog food, AAA batteries, Hershey chocolate syrup, dog treats the list goes on and on. I was just standing in a decently long line, so the first cashier called another cashier up there. The second cashier came up and rang 3 people up and got the line down to just 3 of us me being next in line and she just walked away. Didn't say anything, just left and went down an aisle and started straightening up. It's 637 pm not 937 pm they don't close for 3.5 hours. If I was the manager she would have been told to go back and check everyone else out until the line is done. Not till it's not half way to the back of the store. This...
