I took my husband here for his birthday. We had a 5p appointment and the place closed at 6p. The spa stays open to 630p to allow customers to get themselves together. Now, we were late! Us being late was very much our fault! However, the way this establishment handled our situation was a disappointed. We were at valet at 5p and of course valet was packed. I left to go check us in at the spa and my husband tended to the car at valet. I checked both of us in at the Spa and filled out our paperwork. A female masseuse greets me and takes me to our room for the couples massage. The lady finally tells me that they are cutting our massage short due to us being late. I replied “why didn’t front desk let us know this beforehand?” The lady replied “well you would have been charged for everything anyways”. I did not appreciate that comment from her even if it was true or not. If front desk would have told us up front that they were going to cut our time; that at least gives me the option to proceed or see if we could have rescheduled another day. My bill was $450+ (even if it was a $1) the establishment should have been up front with us and let us make that choice. So as a result, we got a 20 – 30 minute rushed massage. My masseuse never even asked how the pressure was or how I felt. My masseuse did ask me what area he should focus on, which I answered back and shoulders. Because my masseuse was rushing and press for time, he didn’t even focus on my shoulders. He rubbed my left shoulder forgot to even touch my right. Moreover, after everything was said and done my husband described his experience to me. He said that the paper I filled out for him when I checked us in, a male staffer ripped up in front of him. The male staffer said he couldn’t use it and made my husband fill out another sheet. Staffer could have politely explained that my husband has to fill out his own sheet. So simple. Let’s not abruptly rip up paper in front of a customer! As a result, we got a 30min an express couples massage. The massage was not even mediocre. The worst $450ish I’ve ever paid. For future reference, please tell your customer up front that their time will be cut, for example the front desk should be relaying this message not the masseuse. Moreover, if the appointment is late, like around closing time because they can’t even experience the rest of the Spa like Jacuzzi steam room etc. Also, I recommend you allow the customer to reschedule. It’s not like we were a no show, allow us to make the decision to proceed or reschedule so we can be able to experience the full “je ne sais quoi”! But just a tad of light for future customer, I was speaking to some ladies that were experiencing the spa at the same time. The lady’s seemed very pleased and referred a masseuse name Eli. Those ladies were a delight after my...
Read moreYesterday I went with my niece who is visiting, and we planned a full day of treatments. I booked these appointments about 1 week in advance and a shout out to Devine, who was very helpful. Being short notice to book all that we wished for, it took some time to arrange it, but she stayed on it and was polite and lovely all the way through. Thank you Devine! We arrived an hour early so as to have time to use the saunas and hot tub. Our greeting was pleasant and sincere. Already at ease. We were givin a tour of the spa, then led to the locker and changing room. We changed and started our day. The facilities are spotless, and so beautiful. Clear attention to detail everywhere. The saunas and hot tub were perfect. We were called for our first service, the 80 minute Reset for the Jetset bath and body wrap. My technician was Angela and the experience was very calming and pleasant. A half hour or so soak in minerals in a very large jetted tub (I turned the jets off so as to just quietly relax and listen to the lovely music) followed by a pleasant smelling body wrap with calming massage of the head and neck. The products used, all Clarins, smelled so light and pleasant, not at all overpowering. This service was followed by the 80 minute sports massage. My technician was Megan, and I so appreciated her talent and training. What an incredible massage. It hit on deep tissue, and some stretching. One word, perfect! The oils and lotions used were again Clarins, and such a great, relaxing fragrance. After this service, we had time to shower and change back into our clothes. (I just did my hair though, was not going to waste all of the lovely oil and lotion that had just been applied to my body!) The changing room has a wall bank vanity of perfectly lighted mirrors, toiletries, hairdryers, curling irons, all you need to straighten out to go back into the real world. Bring your own makeup of course. We ended our stay with a trip to the nail salon for pedicures. And there were the two most delightful people we met during our stay. Bolaji and Renia were our nail technicians. DEFINITELY ask for one or the other if you go to the nail salon. My pedi was the best, so professionally done and the chatter was fun and delightful, thank you ladies so much for ending what was already a perfect day, on a perfect note. Checking out was easy and accurate, no mistakes. It was a Thursday and a special offer for that day for any body service done, was a take home gift of a Clarins product. A nice surprise to be given a cloth gift pouch of an assortment of Clarins body products. And the manager even came out to say hello and to thank us for our visit. Just another nice touch. No surprise then that return visit(s) are...
Read moreI have been going to MGM since they opened. I have never had such a bad experience until yesterday.
I have been there since 1pm, and it wasn’t until about 9 or 10 pm, I pressed the service button for someone to come and assist me with water. Unfortunately, no one never came so I eventually saw someone and asked for water and he said ok but never mentioned it.
I was into my game but eventually realized it has been about 2 hours and still no water. Another male employee walked by and I told him that I have been waiting for water for over 2 hours and he radioed and was more specific about how long I’ve been waiting and still no water.
I just happened to turn around and saw the first male employee who never told anyone about the water. So, as I began to asked him, he immediately said there is a manager, pointing in the direction of a female. After speaking with her, she radioed for me to speak with the manager of beverage. I, literally didn’t leave until 2 am and never got water and neither did the beverage manager come to speak with me, which I didn’t leave until about 2 hours later.
On 3/22/25, I went to MD Live for the first time in a few months. When I wanted water, I received it without hesitation and/or a long wait. I will continue to spend my money at Md. Live where they care about their customers. MGM definitely needs to do better.
It’s thumbs down 👎🏽 for me and I’m not the only person that feels this way or had the exact...
