Right here in Paducah, Kentucky we have one of the biggest and best Bourbon Bars in America, yet they don't even have all the bottles they have collected out on the shelves yet: these shelves already seem endless - add to that they are full of both common and rare "unicorn" whiskey/ bourbon. Barrel & Bond has multiple in-house custom cocktails, classics, and various spirits that allow even non-whiskey fans alike a chance to enjoy fellowship in an amazing ambiance. There is an art to being a mix-ol-o-gist and the ones at Barrel & Bond, to put it frank, keep it 100! The owners and staff take pride and time to educate their patrons about this amazing spirit, liquid sunshine! I am proud to say this group at Barrel & Bond are more than just friends... they are a brotherhood. The food menu is great for pairing with different bourbons and or cocktails or just keeping something with substance on the stomach. These guys really know what they are doing at B&B and I will forever be grateful they are in my neck of the woods and chose to open a bourbon/ whiskey bar that goes way beyond being anything ordinary!
p.s. if $12 if too much a for a premium cocktail then maybe "The Silver Bullet" is more your steez! side note: these guys are not getting bottles at retail either so yes to drink secondary market price drinks... you're going to have to pay secondary market prices... but good luck finding a fraction of these "rare" bottles in the local stores or around here. Can't afford the secondary market price there are plenty of others...

The first thing we were told by the server was we could not purchase any bourbon with a red tie. Why? If you are not offering them for purchase, why display them? Are you displaying bottles filled with other liquid than the bourbon labeled? Next, they do not offer a list of what is available. So, you basically have to look at the shelves, select and inquire about the cost. That took quite an effort in an almost empty bar. Why does that have to be so complicated and prolonged?. So, we decided the best route to go was to order a signature cocktail offering, Well, they were out of ingredients for some of them. I finally thought, okay, I’m just going to get a bourbon I’m familiar with, see if the cost is reasonable and just get that. We had reservations at the Freight House. We arrived an hour early so we could relax before dinner. Their bar was closed for a private event, and they suggested this bar. I think someone from the Freight House ought to go over and see what they experience. Hoping for the best for...
