Would not recommend this place to anyone. We stayed in room 701. First thing that bothered me was we had trouble getting into the room. The "lockbox" on the door was messed up and we were never able to open in. Strike 1! Once we found our room we went back to the car to grab all of our belongings and start moving in. On the way back up to the room I saw signs that said no smoking or vaping allowed on property. Strike 2 ! On the website it did say no smoking, but I assumed that meant no smoking rooms available. But you arent even allowed to vape outside...
While unpacking our bags we noticed the closet Didn't have any hangers (most places I've stayed at has had at least a few hangers) it was fine though we found other places to lay our clothes out. I wouldnt want to put my clothes in the closet anyways because it looked like it woulve fallen apart. The bar was all kinds of crooked. there was a dirty looking mop and bucket in there, a dust pan and no broom and two moisture bags that were full.
First night I took a shower I noticed black mold on the ceiling of the bathroom. The room was kinda dusty as well. The ceiling tiles weren't sitting flush. Beds weren't very comfy. The box spring looked very old. Strike 3! I was truly annoyed by this point.
Was unclear that there wouldn't be anyone doing cleanings throughout the week. No new towels, no extra toilet paper. So be ready to buy TP if you stay here. No extra trash bags, and only one small trash in "kitchen"and one very small trash can in bathroom.
Coffee pot looked disgusting.
Our last day there the elevators were out of order. I get it , stuff happens and they have to do maintenance but it sucked because we stayed on the 7th floor. We had alot of stuff due to us staying a full week. Making multiple trips up and down the steps was annoying. We also passed a girl of crutches the night before. Unfortunately was had to hobble up the stairs because the elevator was down. I felt so bad for her. Limiteds parking.
Only good things I can say about this place are the pool was nice, very big and clean for the most part. Nice beach front. Very secure, you had to have the code to get into the pool area and down the the beach. Kitchen in the room was fully stocked with plates, bowls, wine glasses, coffee cups, regular cups, pots anf pans and silver ware. We ate out for every meal so I didn't use anything in the room so I'm not sure how clean everything was. Nice tv in the room, WiFi worked fine for me. The shutter style blinds on our windows were nice. You could see straight into other people's rooms that had regular cloth curtains .
Over all I would not stay here again. I paid over $800 and really expected more from this place. The pictures on the website look great and it just did not live up to my...
Read moreNote: This is a review of room # 218 only. All rooms, it appear, are individually owned, and have varying degrees of updates, cleanliness, etc.
First off, we rented the 218 room specifically for the Ocean facing balcony, which was easily the best feature of the room. No complaints there.
We walked into the room and immediately all of us looked at each other like, OMG!! Terribly outdated. Next we noticed a big tuft of human hair on the floor, like someone had their hair cut and didn't quite get all the trimmings swept up.
Next, I went to put some of my belongings on top of the center nightstand, and saw a large patch of mold underneath where the lamp sitting.
The Smoke alarm looked pretty old, so I checked it and found it didn't work. Period.
There was a ceiling tile hanging down a little from the grid ceiling, it was a recent replacement. I took a broom handle to poke it back into place and noticed that the original tile that was supposed to have been replaced was still there above the new one. This old tile was basically full of mildew and mold.
The next night we were in bed when I noticed something scurrying across the top of the wall across from us. Turned out to be a flying Cockroach, which the nice lady at the front desk asked: " oh, you mean, the Palmetto Bug?" Yeah... I googled palmetto bug. Guess what it said...Florida's Flying Cockroach!!!!
I could go on nitpicking, but those are the highlights. Let me be clear, I have nothing bad to say about The Fontainebleau. They simply manage the main property, oversee parking, the pool was in excellent order, any facility, bathroom, laundry, etc. Was in working condition.
We booked this room through Vacasa and had no trouble with the initial booking. When we ran into the above issues we tried to contact Vacasa, left a message and had no communication or accessibility. A local Vacasa agent facilitates the cleaning of the room and bookings, so the actual owner probably isn't aware of these issues.
In my opinion, this poor review is the direct result of mis management or lack thereof by Vacasa. It is the Vacasa agents responsibility to ensure that the room is clean and presentable for potential renters. Moreover, Vacasa's lack of accessibility overall and specifically on a local level involving human communication, allows for no accountability or recourse should a renter not be...

I would say this condo is “charming” and “beachy” and honestly I was pleasantly surprised when I first entered. I will just give some pros and cons:
Pros: Mike (the owner I guess?) was really nice and was as helpful as he could be While there is no staff or management on site, it is pretty easy to reach someone in “customer service” on the phone The inside of the condo is decorated very well and definitely has a “beachy“ feel to it the emails leading up to our visit were frequent and detailed, I felt very prepared for my arrival and departure
Cons Parking is terrible! There aren’t anywhere near enough parking spots for the number of condos in the building. You are supposed to have a parking pass but that doesn’t seem to be enforced as there are many people park there without one. You are also not allowed to park in the surrounding areas because you will be towed. It’s easy to park during the day but if you plan on going out in the evening you will have to take an Uber if you want to keep your parking spot. It’s an older condominium although I think they are doing their best to try to keep it somewhat updated, it is definitely “historic”. It’s not necessarily a bad thing, just know what to expect. the sofa bad has a thin (and VERY NOISY) plastic on it which was really annoying for everyone. You could hear each movement which irritating when you are trying to get some rest.
Overall: I would consider staying here again if it were just for a short weekend, it’s not conducive to anything longer than a day or two and I’m not sure if I would stay if I had more...
