A calm, sweet oasis in the middle of the mall

Venchi Chocolate and Gelato in Garden State Plaza felt like a moment of calm in the middle of a busy, noisy mall — especially on the 4th of July. From the moment we walked in, the two ladies working behind the counter made us feel genuinely welcome. They were kind, patient, and even spoke to us in Spanish to explain how everything worked, which made my wife feel right at home.

They described the cones using a model to show what the different options looked like, which was such a thoughtful touch. We ended up sharing a cone with two scoops — I picked Cappuccino and my wife chose Parmigiano Reggiano. Both were absolutely delicious, creamy, and full of flavor. The portion was more than enough for us to share.

The place stayed busy, but the staff never lost their warmth. The two women remained attentive, welcoming, and full of grace the entire time.

Stopped in to make a holiday gift purchase. The store associate helping was wonderful - very friendly and knowledgeable. Unfortunately the gift I purchased was melted - found out about it after gifting it. I reached out to the company about getting some type of refund, hoping they would stand by their products especially considering the price, and they wouldn't. The online associate was also very rude. Extremely disappointing as it ruined the gift for the recipient and also cost a considerable amount on my end. Would not recommend.

Venchi Chocolate Store

I recently visited Venchi and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The service was just okay, but the quality of the products did not meet expectations.

I ordered the tiramisu ice cream, which had no flavor whatsoever . I couldn’t even taste the milk. My husband tried another flavor, and it also lacked any distinct taste. The woman serving us melted the cup with chocolate and added nuts, but the crunch tartars tasted old and stale.

Even the complimentary chocolate she offered on top tasted old. Both of us ended up throwing everything in the trash. It was far from the quality we expected from Venchi, and sadly, not a good...
