I wanted to like this place so much. We had been waiting with great anticipation for it to open since my toddler loves Jumpstreet and as a Parker resident, it’s a drive. Well, the day came we finally made it and we were majorly disappointed. If you intend to bring a toddler, be prepared for a lot of inconveniences.
First off, the check-in was fairly simple but flawed to the max. Create your waiver form at a kiosk ahead of check in and payment - done. Walk up and pay. Well not so simple. I am not sure if the front desk person knew I had no idea about SkyZone, but it should have been obvious. Especially, when I start asking questions about where my daughter can jump and the front person explaining the sock situation to me.
I paid $10 for a half hour of jumping. At least, that is what I understood since the person never explained what I was being charged for. I looked at the receipt and it appeared I was charged $10 for the one pair of socks. I even asked and nothing made sense.
On to the changing of shoes to socks – I only got a pair for my toddler, thinking I could be close by while she jumps around. First, it would have been nice to get a fair warning that lockers were 50 cents and you needed change. None of that sort at the front desk…I left my locker open as did many other people. I also noticed that the seating areas were limited and not conducive, or comfortable for parents to watch their kids. The layout is weird.
So I change my daughter’s footwear, and I take her up to the jumping areas and find the “toddler” area after asking some employees. The area for toddlers was a ways back from the platform you could stand on with your shoes. Not conducive in case there is an issue with the kiddo. I should have gone to get a pair for me, but did not know if I needed to pay another $10 for that half hour. Plus, I could not take my kid out of there since she was off bouncing around. Needless to say it was uncomfortable, and there were other parents next to me sharing the same feeling…
My daughter was done after 20 minutes and we had to leave. There was nothing else for her to do there. In comparison – I paid $4 for my daughter at Jumpstreet, which had a designated area for toddlers along with bouncy houses and such to keep them entertained. Oh, and it was an all-day fee. Before we left, I had to change her diaper and found that the restroom did have a changing station – that was nice, but it would have been better if there was a trashcan in the restroom to dispose of a diaper…WHAT? Yes, no trashcan since air dryers were available for your hands after washing them…Not well thought out…So, I carried the diaper out of the washroom to throw in to a trashcan next to the lockers. Don’t worry – it was a wet one, not a dirty one.
So, if you think this is a place to take the family and one of those members happens to be younger than, let’s say requires diapers, DON’T GO! It’s not geared towards or conducive to the entire family and their...
Read moreI had a party for my son's 6th birthday at this Sky Zone location last Saturday and it was the worst experience I've ever had hosting a party.
I arrived 40 min early to make sure everything is taken care of before the party starts. I waited in line for 15 min before I was able to talk to the front desk. There is a separate party line but it was not open. The front desk attendant took my name, and said we were checked in and good to go. My guests arrived 20 min early and waited by the front door with me not knowing what to do. At 11.15 am which was our jump time, and nobody came to tell us what we should be doing, I decided to go back to the front desk again to find out what's next. That's when I found out we should have received socks and wrist bands but we didn't, and all of our waivers should have been verified. So, that's when the "check in" process started which took the first 20 min of our jump time.
After we received socks, we had about 40 min of jump time, and it was time for the party room. We were let into our room and the party host left. I was running around the entire time serving pizza and drinks to our guests. My guests saw I was overwhelmed and stepped in to help. We ran out of drinks and my guests had to go to the front desk to ask for refills. Then after we served food, the host popped in for a second and asked if we need anything, I said not at this moment. Then it was time for cake and the host said he will turn off the lights and record a video for us when we sing happy birthday. We waited and we waited after all the kids finished eating. The host came back and brought a knife. And then he decided he will go and refill our pitchers. He left for a while again. When he came back we sang happy birthday and the host left again. We cut the cake and served it ourselves but had no forks or spoons. We waited for about 10 min until we decided to look for them ourselves. When we finished (right at 1.15pm), we cleaned up and left the room.
We spent most of the time running around acting as the "party hosts". I will be asking for a partial refund as I did not receive the advertised service I paid for. It would have been a lot easier and less stressful to host a...
Read moreExtremely unsafe! There were easily 100+ very young kids running all over the open jump area completely unsupervised! There were around 40 trampolines squares in the open jump area, each square with 2-4 kids jumping on them at the same time. No supervision keeping this from happening even though it is their main rule while on the trampolines that the trampolines should only be occupied by one person at a time and NO RUNNING! Yet 100+ sugar filled unsupervised kids running absolutely crazy all over the entire open jump area! We went to the manager on duty (some 22 year old kid!) asked for a refund and left and will NEVER BE BACK! What an extremely unsafe area for children! There was absolutely NO restrictions on the number of people allowed inside the facility easily 300-400 people in the building running and screaming all over the place. The Dodge ball arena had 40+ kids all over it, even climbing at the top of the vertical trampolines, no one inforceing any rule or keeping anyone in line. This was mainly due to the fact that the entire staff was under the age of 20 years old. Cheap wages for a cheap unreliable staff only to maximize profits, no concern for customer safety! During our short visit we saw several children leaving the jump areas crying and holding their faces from being kicked and landed on while jumping due to the extreme over packed facility. The best solution would be to let go of the child staff and hire actuall adults at adult wages to enforce the rules like prison guards. The children frequenting this place have absolutely no self control or consideration for anyone elses safety. These are the type of children that should be asked to leave when they continue to break the rules. I doubt any of the early 20 year old employees would be willing to take on an adult parent and inform them that they must remove their disrespectful child from the facility. This place is pathetic, do not go here if you value your...
