My hope is that this review will be helpful for people searching for an honest company. We rented a lift recliner for my dad following his cervical and lumbar spine surgery. The company provided the recliner promptly at a substantial cost: $240 delivery fee (same day service) in addition to a $200 weekly rental fee. The rental was set for one week and we were asked to call at the end of the rental to schedule delivery pick up. The recliner was delivered on a Friday and I called to schedule pick up the following Friday morning. I was told that I would be charged an additional $200 because I had not called the day before (Thursday). Despite explaining our understanding of one week, the manager refused to waive the additional charge, stating that 7 days was the day prior.
In an effort to offset the significant cost, we asked if we could rent the recliner for one month (normally a $500/month fee). The manager said he would charge us an additional $500 fee on top of the $640 we have already paid.
This is our first experience renting medical equipment. I was kind and respectful on the phone and explained our situation honestly. However, the manager does not have a desire to extend a good customer experience and is solely focused on making money. There are many companies who operate differently and this is not one we would recommend...
Read moreUnfortunately I cannot recommend this store based on their return policy. My son fractured his foot a few weeks back, we had a good experience with rental however, I bought a walking shoe at the time and when we came home he tried it on and it did not fit. Life happens and I went to return the brand new unused shoe recently. The return policy is 7 days unused and unopened. Had I known the policy I would have made more of an attempt to return it in the 7 day window, but alas busy mom and busy life. This is a very strict policy and I was super disappointed to learn that there would be nothing done to attempt to return this item. I will not recommend this store to anyone I know or be back again based on this experience. I hoped that an exception would be made or store credit would be offered. Unfortunately they've lost a customer and I have a shoe I have zero use for that someone else could have utilized. Customer service matters. I hope that the Owner sees this and attempts to rectify the situation and make some changes to the return policy. I've honestly never heard of a 7 day policy with no exception or ability to provide customer support. Again, super disappointed and will not be back based on...
Read moreGrateful for Mike tonight at You Can Home Medical in Parker, Colorado. Dropped by tonight to see if he might have a low-cost adapter for oxygen and my ResMed 10 CPAP machine and he did! He could have scammed me with the $53 tubing that accommodated oxygen, too. That would have worked smoothly for what I need but I only need to get through a few days on this cheaper "fix" until my online supply by subscription comes through.
Mike also took time to educate me about the different O2 Concentrators they carried and explain why one was more popular than another. I'm thrilled to learn that they are beginning to work directly with some insurance companies and now offer subscription services and repairs, too (FINALLY)!
I told him I can't wait until my contract runs out for my CPAP supplies and for my noisy concentrator, too! I'll be back here to make my purchases, then solely because each time i have gone in in search of answers or supplies, the people working there have taken an inordinate amount of time with me to answer all my questions and secure all my supplies.
All in all, it was an efficient and informative trip to the store. Happy to refer...
