I was one of the residents affected by resent fire, management company is doing a horrible job placing us in a clean safe unit. They can not tell us what’s going on with our burned unit or if we can go in there to see if we can save some of our belongings. Keep in mind there is no property manager on site , girls in the office are clueless about what’s going on. I have been living here for 3 years we had an awesome property manager but the management company had let her go, even though she was limited on what she can do for her residents she always made sure residents were taken care off. The management company is a big problem they do not allow mangers to make any decision when it comes to repairs for example before my appointment burned I have submitted numerous requests regarding my patio doors being wrongfully installed and when it rains all the rain goes in the apartment, previous manager had submitted numerous requests to corporate to get it approved , the corporate response was” if I’m not happy to transfer to an upgraded unit”
Also, there is 3 laundry facilities on site however only one is working , all machines are broken laundry rooms are dirty and outdated, no doors all windows broken ,there is problem with water pressure and pipes , busted pipes through out the property. Parking is horrible there is no parking at night unless you pay for a reserved spot which half of the time someone else parks in your spot when you contact the towing company they will not come out because per Keener( management company) they are only allowed to tow 6 cars per month. The management company refuses to fix lights on the property it’s very dark the only building lights that are working is in the front by the office , the entire property is very dark at night.
Now since the property is being sold the management refuses to do any major repairs. The unit that they temporarily placed me in has a carpet that it has not been washed or changed in probably 10 years the air vents are clogged no air comes through ,heavy mold. The current management company Kenner management is awesome I relocated to Pasadena for work purposes and Cristina the property manager was wonderful she assisted me with all of my needs help me find a moving company and made my experienc and transition with them great . The property is well maintained and very quiet Maintance is great and the staff is very friendly even though I had a 6 month lease I found them to be very helpful there are multiple fast food restaurant and grocery store nearby and all of my concerns where addressed properly I had absolutely no problem with the complex or management and I would highly recommend this complex I did look at other property but decided to go with Parkside place Apartments because of the staff and cleanliness of the property The management took the time to totally Answer all of my questions and even went out of her way to make my transition easy ... I travel a lot and very rarely have I encountered a property manager who was more dedicated in assisting me and making me feel at home .... thank you Parkside place Apartments for a wonderful stay I initially was concerned because of the prior reviews but after taking the time to do my own research meaning going to the property during business hours and at night I found most of the reviews where fake and incorrect but I never experience any of these problems the asst Manager Glenda was very helpful as well she took the time to assist me in online bill pay and show me how to use the new amenity the complex offered And trust me if it was horrible and really as bad as some of the reviews I would tell you .... if you have any questions just ask .. I do know that they are under complet renovation so parking was hard at first but the property manager did fix the parking issue I have nothing negative to say about the staff or complex .. Read moreWe found this apartment on Zillow and were instantly attracted to it due to the fact it was 1200 with everything included. We moved from Florida to Texas and did not have the ability to tour the apartment. Our fault I know. But when we first moved in instantly you could smell a stench. Mind you we picked the 1200 apartment due to it being fully renovated and represented as nice. My husband was the first to move in as he started work immediately in Texas. He walked in and instantly seen tons of roaches all over. From the kitchen sink to the window sill in the bathroom. I called the office staff and they stated oh we will send the Maintenance out to spray on Monday. This was a Saturday. I told my husband DO NOT MOVE ANY FURNITURE IN I DO NOT WANT ANY EGGS OR ROACHES ON OUR THINGS. It took multiple attempts to get ahold and have the office staff on the phone in order to verbalize the disgust from renting a unit infested with roaches. I then explained that if they do not fix it that we would need a different unit. They said they sent maintenance out to spray and that when they did the walk through they did not spot any roaches (indicating it came from us, but we did not move any of our furniture in at all) Mind you this unit also has a disgusting smell of mold. A dental flosser painted over on the baseboard. The a/c pipe is hanging over the bathtub in the spare bathroom. The window in the master is spray painted so you can not see outside. The gate for the back porch was broke. The garbage disposal was broken. But the main issue being the infestation of roaches. They need to bomb the entire building or just stop renting units if it is a infestation issue. We only stayed for 3 weeks and was charged 1,000$ to break the lease after already putting a 1,000$ to move in. Very unacceptable behavior from management and disgusting living conditions. Would never recommend this...
