I went in initially for a Redken EQ Shades rinse, the onyx which is what I usually get, and let the person who did my hair know I had been considering highlights. He recommended a particular shade, and we talked through colors. He also recommended a lifter that was low intensity as he stated that his main concern was that I did not have any damage. I do not get relaxers, and donât use any other chemicals so I wasnât too concerned about damage but didnât want any either, so whatever he recommended I went with. While it was processing I asked how to know if it is in fact lifting end he checked and it was not lifting; and barely in some places so he stated he would go over it again. After rinsing, he applied the merlot color rinse which was the highlight color. After finishing and looking at the finished product, nothing had lifted at all. In fact, the merlot color had not taken either. He suggested that I could come back in a few weeks and they could try again. I stated that I would not want to take the chance of putting my hair through the stress of it, when it may have that same result. He stated that âI wish there was a way we would guess or assume a color will come out a certain way but because of science we arenât able to do that.â Let me say that he was very kind and respectful from the start. I am just highly disappointed that I paid $160 for a service that did not take. I explained that I donât have the expertise to suggest a stronger color processor or lifter. I went with what was recommended. A very expensive lesson. đ

   Read moreI will definitely not going to give a single start to this. itâs worst place ever I visited. I visited at 3 different locations in Georgia. Today I visited at Peachtree park and last week I visited Snellville location. I never get appointment in store. They told me to book online. I did the same. After that it get cancelled. I booked another online appointment and went there as per my schedule time. When I reached there , no one was there at customer service. When I asked for it, one of the employees told me that she will call someone to talk instead she can also help me as she was also a crew member there. After 15 minutes someone came and asked my about my appointment and everything. When she checked she told me that no one is available here at this moment to serve you. I was surprised that I already got an appointment and now the main artist is not available to serve me. I told her that atleast you should inform us so that we donât waste our valuable time. She told that may be its a system glitch. 𤣠I canât understand that when an artist is not available then itâs not a system glitch. It was their fault. She told me that let me call some other manager. Although she was also the manager there. Some other lady came after 20 minutes and she told that she canât do anything in that because the artists are independent. I donât understand that how can be they independent when they are working for you because we believe in Ulta beauty.    Read moreBelieve the reviews. I went into this location for a product I ALWAYS buy at ULTA, no matter the location. I wasnât greeted when I went into the store (and no, they werenât that busy). But that didnât necessarily bother me. I walked completely around the store searching for my product, passed several workers that looked at me, presumably noticed that I appeared to be searching for something in particular, and said nothing. At some point I finally said, âexcuse meâ to a girl that was actually watching me be confused and asked for assistance. She answered as if she was annoyed and proceeded to tell that they donât carry my product...and that not all stores carry the same products. Thatâs fine but the service level was pretty bad. I would have expected maybe a, âcan I help you find something else?â or âhave you tried blah blah blah...?â But no, nothing like that. Wonât be back to this location.
update I actually came outside and googled what store sells the product I was looking for. To my surprise, this very same ULTA popped up. So I decided to call and verify. The person that answered the phone confirmed that they do in fact sell the product! I went back in and was able to find and purchase it. Interestingly the person that told me they didnât sell the item was doing her own makeup (???). She saw me, saw what I was getting and said nothing.
