Big Acai Bowl - Pella — Attraction in Pella

The owner literally told me that blueberries cost too much to have them as a topping, even though it's on her toppings board in the store and it's a primary topping for the franchise. Every time I'd go there, the workers would tell me they didn't have blueberries available with no explanation. Today, I tried again, this time online, but again, I couldn't add blueberries as a topping. I wasn't happy. I put a snarky comment on my order. "I know they sell blueberries in Pella." Drove 40 min. to get my order and walked in to an aggressively rude owner telling me she didn't fill my $96.00 order and informed me I was rude. She said blueberries were too expensive for her. I spend about $1300 a month at Big Acai for our Corporate office and myself all over Iowa. Those days are over. ...

First time experiencing Big Acai. I got the popular Tropical Smoothie which was great. Portion size was just enough for me. I didn’t have to wait to be served. It can be awkward ordering the first time if you’ve never seen the menu before; however, the staff will help walk you through the options. Store has some seating indoors and outside. No public restroom. Getting into the store is not wheelchair friendly since there is a small step...

Amazing açaí bowls and in Pella!!! I went with a friend a few days after the opening and they were a little busy. You can choose what size of açaí bowl you want and it comes with granola/bananas/agave or honey, everything else is $1 more for each topping. We both had the classic (smallest) size and a few toppings so it came out to about $9 and it was delicious. Healthy, sweet, and the ladies running it were great! Can’t wait...
