Went here for a family meal for New Years. Thought the ball drop happened on new years eve but unfortunately it happened on new years day here at Bonefish. Made a reservation for 6 thinking they may be busy, but upon arrival, realized it was a ghost town. Stood at the hostess desk for a good five minutes waiting for someone-anyone who may be interested in helping a customer. Finally, only after asking the bartender, he came over and seated us. He mentioned there was no hostess for the day. When the waitress arrived, we where greeted with something other than hello, or even happy new year. Only one order of bread was brought for a table of 6. One of my guests asked for black coffee and was brought a tray with cream, sugar, spoon and coffee. Nice presentation, but not what was asked for. After a few minutes and all had received their drinks, I had to prompt for where was my beer? Oh, let me go get it. But someone else brought it. When the entrees were brought out, we only received 4 of the 6. It was at least 10 minutes before the other 2 were delivered and no real response was given or even a sorry or the kitchen is busy, which we already know it wasn't since there were very few tables of people. Any other bread that was brought was only after having to ask. Come on, what happened to taking care of the customer. Was never asked if I might like another beer, the guest drinking wine was not asked if they would like another. My guest with the coffee had to ask for a warm up. I will insert at this point that the 2 filets (other than being over cooked), the 2 salmon plates, the fish and chips, and the appetizers were good. At some point before receiving the bill, someone came out of the kitchen (not a manager) to ask how things were? To little to late is what I was thinking, but I just wanted out of there. From beginning to end, my observation is this all could have been a much better experience if the staff had good management. My visit at no time had a manager's touch on it, or at least a manager I would want running my business. When there is not proper staff scheduled to handle the customers, maybe they should just be closed. It seemed any managers Bonefish has at this location had decided to take the day off. Sorry if this review has gotten long, but I have decided that this year I have made a new years resolution. -- Think twice before going...
Read moreI have come here multiple times, always enjoyed the food, atmosphere and the service. Unsure if management changed or servers, (short staffed) etc. but, today was rough. Mainly due to the service. Chris, was our server. When we arrived it was right around 4pm, I take my grandmother out for dinner so she can enjoy time out of the house and this was the place she picked. Ultimately, as guests started filtering in, it seemed as though Chris was the only server working the floor. Chris took our order and then never came to the table again. Another worker brought out our food as well. Chris was jumping around from the main floor to the bar area, and I had absolutely no idea what was going on. My grandmother and I were patient and waited roughly 15-20 mins after we finished food, before I asked another server if we could get our check. One manager was handing out fliers for a free social gathering, but was only seen on the floor once during our time there. Ultimately, my grandmother and I may have ordered another glass of wine, and also wanted to order dessert and attempt to rectify the experience, but, we were NEVER addressed in order to do so. Multiple tables around us were going and bringing their checks to Chris in order just to pay and leave after their dinner. I typically don’t complain because I worked in the customer service industry, aside from the food being decent, the service we got today just ruined it all. I ended up speaking with MOD after leaving the establishment, just to make them aware so hopefully other guests experience were not ruined by what was happening, ( or lack thereof) on the floor. Jamie, MOD (I think was the name) said that she would address it and issued an apology. When my grandmother and I got up to leave, multiple people sat at tables seemed frustrated and I watched during the time I was waiting that Chris never attempted to go back to those tables as well. I am unsure if he was over sat, or if he just continued to take more tables, but, he could not handle the workload. He also was not very friendly. We will def be back to give another chance, but hopefully you can work out the customer service issues, as well as ensuring Chris understands his job...
Read moreI have always heard of bang bang shrimp from Bonefish but never stopped in until today. First off, I want to give a round of applause to our server Lauren. She was not only attentive, she was just absolutely awesome. She was patient, knowledgeable and just an amazing person. Okay, so I got to the restaurant earlier than the rest of my party so Lauren made sure I had my glass of Chardonnay and the delicious complimentary bread and olive oil dipping sauce with an extra side of their delicious pesto. Baby, talk about hog Heaven! After the rest of my party was seated we ordered the bang bang shrimp sautéed instead of fried and it was delicious. The sauce is reminiscent of thousand island with a kick, so yummy. They added a new dish to the menu, Ahi Tuna Poke bowl, it was just damn delicious. I like spice, so they sent out a wasabi sauce and a sweet chili sauce for me to add, but honestly I didn't really need anything, it was soooooo delicious on its own. My mom ordered the burger and fries. It was cooked perfectly and she really enjoyed it. The meat was juicy and flavorful and the fries were perfect. My Aunt ordered fish and chips and she loved her dish, everything was cooked to her liking. Honestly, I can't figure out why this place was not packed with lunchtime diners, the food and service are topnotch. My Aunt Christine was celebrating a birthday and she chose the molten carrot cake as her birthday dessert. It was just amazing! P.S. Every employee that graced our table were gracious and wonderful. I can go on and on about the customer service, it...
